In this year’s “Will they, won’t they ?” edition, we have probably the biggest Bollywood celebrity wedding of 2022. Remember last year when we did the same for Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s wedding? Both parties denied any wedding was happening. One cousin of his even went far saying, there ain’t no wedding happening “otherwise I would have known about it”. Said cousin went on to attend the wedding and then shared a video of the palace where the wedding was held.
She was asked to take it down later, don’t ask!
They can just say, “No comments” or “Go ask the bride or groom, why ask us?” or “It ain’t none of your goddamn business!”
The media frenzy this time has started way earlier. They don’t want to leave any stone unturned, clearly! Since it was leaked that they are getting married this month, the media went on an overdrive from two weeks ago!
So today’s edition of “Will they, won’t they?” is dedicated to Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s upcoming nuptials. This is the fun part, both sides of their families are the talkative types. There’s the senior uncle, Randhir Kapoor who answers every question the media asks him and then there’s Mahesh Bhatt who has no problem telling the media every breaking news from his family. On second thoughts, they probably haven’t told him yet since he told the press that news of the April wedding are all rumours!
So will Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt finally walk down the aisle or is it just a rumour?

Speaking of girlfriend, it’s still surreal how Katrina Kaif tied the knot to Vicky Kaushal when all this time, there were persistent rumours of Ranbir getting married to Alia, especially when his dad Rishi Kapoor recovered. Ranbir himself said in an interview that had it not been for Covid, he would have gotten married already.
It is also surreal that Ranbir and Alia are finally taking the big step! You all know how their relationship started, it was kinda arranged. Funnily, no one believed that they were really seeing each other. The media and most journalists attributed to their sudden coupling as pre-promotion. It was just that, considering they were working on Dharma Productions’ biggest movie yet and who is the head of DP? KebabJo, Bollywood’s self-proclaimed matchmaker! Little did they know that the film would have taken this long to complete and their relationship would drastically change, especially since Alia has been around the Kapoors supporting them during Rishi’s treatment and sudden death.

And it’s been a great 5 years for Aloo, professionally-speaking. Yes, those threats after SSR passed couldn’t have been easy on her but she bounced back and how!

This seems to be a marriage of convenience. In my opinion, RK is incapable of loving any girl. The only person he seems to care about a bit is his mom. He has lost most of the nice girls due to his inability to commit and his loner, aloof attitude/disposition. He wants and would want his space. I think he’s only marrying for his mom and to produce offspring. AB just happens to be there, plus she’s young, successful and can work some more before having babies. They look totally mismatched. AB is besotted with him just like Katie H was with Tom C. Hope AB is not heartbroken, bitter and miserable 5-10 years into the marriage; although she’l continue to pretend everything is hunky-dory as is the tradition in the family (ladies) she’s marrying into. Now that they have decided to take the plunge, wish they lead normal lives, which in today’s time is a privilege.
Also was this planned all along or was this sudden? There is a footage of him saying during sharmaji namkeen that the wedding not happening this year. During the entire interview he came across like a jerk, lost his charm, no wit left..he even mocked Alia, and asked, what does it mean to be married in her heard? of course, the ‘kutte ne nai kaata was a new low. I dont see him reclaiming his ‘ charming, desirable ‘ tag ever!

OSOP I still can’t believe it. How did Alia/KJo manage to finally convince RK? They just don’t look like a real couple. Is this just another marriage facade?
This trend is catching up in Bollywood, it seems. It’s already a thing in Hollywood… It was only a matter of time!
@Admin, I really dont understand how Alia is ok with the disrespeact humiliation etc that RK will subject her to.. I really dont see how this will benefit Rk? There is no way he would have agreed unless he saw some benefit from this.. No matter how great an actor he is, he can never convince anyone he loves Alia.. did he agree because she is fine with Ayan in the mix? I wonder how his exes and general BW brigade think of this alliance? I feel they are laughing behind his back and the kapoors have just lost the stature they once held.
If she’s OK with it, means he’s like that only. She’s never surprised when he treats her like that in public so it must be the way he is offscreen as well. It speaks a lot about Alia’s upbringing as well, what kind of household she grew up in with a dad like Mahesh who seems out of it most of the time!
