The moment that we have been waiting for is here! Yes, Karan Johar’s next movie is going to be released in cinemas on 28 July 2023. Last year, he mentioned that he will be starting his first action film this year but no word yet on that.
Before we move on, check out the trailer of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’:
First of all, what kind of psycho puts her hand on a stranger in the middle of the road to shut him up? If this is their introduction to each other in the film, it’s super weird! If it’s not, then it’s fine!
The story which basically they just revealed in the trailer is reminding us of several films. It doesn’t seem original and seems more likely that the idea was lifted from somewhere else. As it is with Karan aka Kebab Jo, he does admit to just randomly picking out things here and there so it’s not a surprise he did the same thing here.
Since they reveal the main plot in the trailer itself, the only things remaining to be seen are how each side deals with their switch and what happens in the end. Oh, and of course, the guest appearances since it’s a KJo film. If not SRK, Kajol will be there. If not them, then one of his minions, who knows?!
For some reason, Jaya Bhaduri looks super pissed. Definitely not her usual kind of role in KebabJo’s films. But here she looks super pissed, as if she was forced to be in this film so that Karan produces a film for Abhishek next.
Ranveer does not do too well in super loud characters. It’s almost like he’s overacting, as was the case in ‘Befikre’. It doesn’t suit him. His character looks like something Varun Dhawan will play as he’s more suited for this type of role. Ranveer, at this point in his career, has surpassed this level of acting. The audience doesn’t want to see him in silly and stupid roles trying to do dumb stuff on camera. He’s already doing that off-camera so…
As for Alia, she looks like a child in front of Ranveer which makes their pairing so odd. That’s why they dressed her up in pretty saris and all that.
Overall, it’s a Karan Johar film…He can’t go wrong, at least not all the way. He’s super excited about this film as it celebrates him being in this industry for 25 years! That’s quite something. How time flies!
When the teaser was released, we were already told (by our old lady) that we are going to watch this movie when it releases because it was a Karan Johar movie! Yes, so there’s no escaping ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’!
‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ will be released in theaters on 28 July 2023. In India, the buy 1 free 1 ticket is available for this film so expect it to be a big hit real fast.
