The Archies’ Cast Perform On Stage For The First Time

The cast of Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’ performed for the first time on stage in Brazil at the Netflix’s ‘Tudum’ event. It was just less than 2 minutes so it was like watching a couple of kids perform. Here’s the thing, though, they are Bollywood actors so the least they could have done is practice this performance so that they are all in sync with one another because you can see they are all doing what they can. To be fair, this is their first on-stage performance and it was before thousands of people who had no idea whose kid they were so…

Here are the actors from ‘The Archies’ performing on the same track that was on the cast announcement video on stage in Brazil.

They do look visibly nervous…It’s their first performance and that too on such a big scale. Zoya is really setting the bar high with this one and if these actors don’t perform, the audience will never let her forget that. But on the other hand, it is a Zoya Akhtar film, so there’s a good chance it’s going to be good. We don’t really care much about the film or its settings or whatever, it’s that we will never get used to seeing Archie Comics interpreted like this. It’s weird. For this reason, we can’t ‘Riverdale’ either so how will this one be, we wonder?!

Here is the big announcement from Variety. There’s a special section highlighted below where the author makes it known who these special kids are in the film. There are already so many expectations from them so it will be interesting to see how good they are. Expect to see special promotions from Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan and expect to see Jaya Bhaduri on her best behaviour!

    1. Zoya still not allowing them to interact with media and instead asked them to perform in allotted time. Makes sense, since it’s a musical.
