2017 – December – Bollywood Blind Item 4
We have been saying for a long time now that this production house no longer has the financial capability to produce movies on its own. For a long time now, every movie of this production house is a joint production. The director, who is the owner and boss of this production house, has said that it’s because he can’t afford to produce a movie on his own.
What is strange, though, is that the movies that they are co-producing all features the actors that this director has launched some time back. His co-productions always star one of these guys. And now, he’s launching two newcomers and if their careers take off well, he might jump on their bandwagon too.
Aside from that, the director is working all types of jobs to keep his production house afloat. You name it and he’s doing it. He’s become like the Shah Rukh Khan of directors, always looking for opportunities to make money. He’s a big catch because of all the celebrities he can bring to the table. And some people wonder why he sticks around the young celebs so much. It’s because he knows that he’s nothing without them!
Check out who this blind item from Box Office India is talking about.
This production house sure loves to be in the public eye, and not a week goes by without some announcement or tidbit relating to the producers making its way to the media.
Of course, one could argue that it is simply because the masses are deeply interested in these ‘celebrities’ and that’s why the media covers them – just as it happens with our mega superstars – and not because of any special effort by the producers.
Well, that seems like a reasonable argument but goes for a toss when you realise that although the banner otherwise runs a very lean organisation (thanks to most of its films being co-productions executed by partners), it has as many as four (and counting!) PR agencies and professionals on board!
Says a lot about their top priority, right?
