Way before ‘Enthiran – The Robot’ was made with Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, director Shankar wanted to make the film with another superstar and another Bollywood actress; Kamal Haasan and Preity Zinta. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately, the film didn’t get made then. If you see the pictures that they took back then, you will be relieved that they didn’t make ‘Robot’ back then as the resources probably weren’t enough. Some time back, there were even rumours of Shah Rukh Khan doing the film, but I think he declined as he had ‘Ra.One’ on his plate. As they say, there’s a timing for everything!
