There was news about this problem a month ago. Now actors have started complaining that they too are going through the same thing. If actors are going through this and having a hard time getting their payment, just imagine what the others with no access to the press must be going through.

This pandemic has really put a strain on everyone. No one is coming out of this like a winner unless it’s the company that makes gloves or sanitizers or masks. So it is understandable if companies are slashing pays or not being able to pay. But at least, be reasonable.

Let the people involved know. Not paying them is not right but then running away from paying makes things worst. At least, let them know because no one likes chasing the people who owe them. If they did the work, they deserve to know.

So many people, who count on their salaries to live, are going through this. It’s not fair to have them go through this stress. No wonder this production wants to go back to shooting.

A well-known production house is losing the little goodwill it had in the industry for its brutal pay cuts. Those who work there say the slashes have been between 50 and 70 per cent.

And waiting around for the remainder of the salary is also a humiliating effort. It seems the lady of the house signs the cheques but only on Fridays and, it seems, she is unwell each Friday. Tch.
