Why do rich celebrities ask commoners for money to donate?

It’s astounding to see rich people ask common people like us for money to help other people. It doesn’t make sense when they are supposedly millionaires.

We have spoken about this late last month when Sandra Bullock donated $1 million to hurricane victims and other celebrities donated barely half of that money while asking commoners again to donate.

Here’s the thing, to help others is something that is personal and an individual choice. The only thing you can do to get people to donate is to emotionally blackmail them. We are talking about people, who by themselves did not donate.

Why do rich celebrities ask commoners for money to donate

Ordinary people like us know that these celebrities are loaded since they have shared and bragged to the world on how they are the highest paid and all that. So, why do they need commoners’ money to help those in need?

This post is about the recent organised Hollywood telethon that was held to raise money for victims of the two biggest hurricanes that recently hit several places in the U.S. Titled the Hand in Hand telethon, rich celebrities came out to sit in front of the camera and take calls from the commoners, who might just be fans of theirs.

Instead of writing a post that praise these celebrities for taking the time out from their supposedly busy schedules, we decided to analyse how much are these celebrities worth. By the way, the telethon managed to raise only $14+ million from the commoners.

Just think that if all of these celebrities each donated $1 million or more, more lives can be saved and more homes can be repaired. Just imagine that the hurricane victims are going to go back to their homes, which are now completely destroyed. They have to start back from scratch.

If you think about it, when these celebrities have TV shows, movies or music albums coming out, people line up for them. In a way, it’s the ordinary people that help make these celebrities rich. Sure, some of them might be because of the Illuminati (signing up with the devil), they are still rich and relevant because of the commoners. And you know what’s funny? When these celebrities make it to the highest paid lists, their fans are so happy for them!

So, in a bid to change things around, let’s take a look at how much the celebrities, who were part of the Hand in Hand hurricane relief benefit, are worth. All estimations were shared by Forbes Magazine.

Hi OSOP….it is true that they can pay much more money.. But I believe that even β‚Ή10 given with a pure heart and intention does wonders….whereas even 1 million given just due to fear that ‘what will people say’ will not do any help… just my thoughts.. All don’t have to agree with it…

For us, normal beings, even if we give 50cents, we are giving something. As for them, they are different because their livelihoods depend on normal people. Whether they are giving money out of fear or as a good gesture, it will help people. Since they have a lot, they can surely give more. The damage is there for everyone to see, the more money donated the more help these victims get. Celebrities live an expensive lifestyle, so they have to be stingy a little when it comes to handing out money just like that. Look at Jamie Foxx, you would think an almost out of work actor should be mindful on what he’s using his money on. But that’s not how he thinks since he recently purchased a customized $2 million Bugatti Veyron car! It’s clear that celebs don’t think like us, normal beings, once they make that kind of cash!

agreed admin… but it is like imposing our expectations on them….their livelihood depends on their talent….not normal people like us… people go to watch their movies on their own.. no one is forcing us to….If we are getting brainwashed into thinking that actors are holier than thou, then the fault lies with us.. we need to think rationally…. I don’t blame Ram-Rahim alone, it’s also his followers.. were they blind to his deeds?? the same goes with actors.. let the ones who donate, donate it with love and the ones that don’t.. ignore them… . there are enough good and kind people in this world.. lets focus on them…….they make their money, they can spend it anyway….
I have lots of time on hand right now.. that is why so active on OSOP…. hehehehhee.. don’t mind…

No, it’s cool. We are just saying as human beings, if you have then you should give. It’s common sense. πŸ™‚ We know this lady, who loves animals so much that she sold her house and took up a rented place. The money she got, she used it to build a shelter for all strays. That’s commendable because we tend to think that “oh, if we have more money we can do this or that”. She went ahead and did it because she wanted to help.
