Trailer: Panipat – Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt & Kriti Sanon

Two days ago, critics were raving about this trailer on social media. Most of them said, it was so good that they wanted to watch it over and over again. So, we were wondering exactly how good it must be that they want to see it over and over again. But then again, you know how some critics are!

When this film was announced, a lot of people were skeptical. For one, the lead actor has not been able to carry a normal commercial film on his shoulders so how in the world was he going to be the main attraction of a big budget period film?

Before we move on, check out the trailer of ‘Panipat’:

There you have it!

Social media is having a day with this trailer. And yes, it does look like a mix-match of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ & ‘Padmaavat’. Unlike ‘Kalank’, who had the copied and paste touch of Sanjay Leela Bhansali films, ‘Panipat’ more like has the scenes from these two SLB films. They had Sanjay looking like Khilji, Kriti looking like a mixture of PC and Deepika’s character and Arjun looking miscast.

Seriously? These Kapoor kids seem to have weak dialogue delivery. It’s just the way they sound, like they are so relaxed and have nothing to worry about. But he should have worked on his diction to make his words sound powerful.

Like someone once said, SLB has no copyright on period films but that doesn’t mean he is the only one that is allowed to make them. It’s just that other directors should try period films in a different way that bears no resemblance to any SLB period film.

By the way, Hrithik would have been so cool in place of Arjun but then again it would have looked like Akbar.

And yes, this trailer did make us want to watch it twice…Only because we couldn’t believe that they decided to invest this much money on something like this! As usual every famous celebrity or star kid is promoting how great this trailer is on social media.

Seriously, they have time to say something nice about this but couldn’t share something for a much better ‘Manikarnika’ trailer?!

So, who is ready to watch Malaika’s rib in ‘Panipat’?

Ashutosh sir’s Jodhaa Akbar was a classic with such a lovely music by A.R. Rahman sir.

I think for every films we would be comparing it with Sanjay Leela Bansali, how about Rajamouli, I think his movies are waay better and hopefully everyone gives Panipat a chance and see if it is worth it. Kriti is in it and I like it.

Who’s brilliant idea was it to continue the bajirao mastani saga anyway? The trailer looks well made and good battle scenes but again it’s too soon when bhansali did it so well. Unsurprisingly, Arjun Kapoor is a big potato with little to offer the movie going audience. Why do people keep casting him over and over? His family doesn’t have that much money!

It must be Boney Kapoor’s money. Seriously, i refuse to believe any producer signed Arjun for such a movie.

I feel bad for Sanjay though. Personal life aside, he’s a good actor and deserves a good comeback

I watched the trailer and its a mess. It does look like a rip off of SLB films. Even a background music resembles BM.

Kriti look remind me of PC from BM while her role and the way she talks reminds me of DP from BM and Padmavat.

Sanajy Dutt looks awesome and his dialogue delivery is good but yes I do find him a carbon copy of Ranveer from Padmavat.

Arjun Kapoor seriously! I cant believe a man like Ashutosh can choose such a weak actor for this mega budget film. He is not Ranveer/Hrithik/SRK or Ranbir to bring audience to the theaters. He is a flop actor with zero acting skills. Wonder what make Ashutosh to cast Arjun ? No sane man will invest such an ample amount on Arjun.

ADMIN any idea why A sensible film maker like Ashutosh cast Arjun in this period film?

TBH, no one can made period films better than SLB. He is a master in that genre.

Ashutosh did make good films in the past but then they had good actors like SRK/Aamir and Hrithik.

Its a disaster. Mark my words.

God bless the producer. I can only pry for him.

Let’s not forget that this is the same Ashutosh who made lagaan & swades. So this movie must be something.
