Trailer: Bhoot Police – Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez & Yami Gautam

The trailer of ‘Bhoot Police’ is finally here and…it looks similar to Hollywood’s ‘The Brothers Grimm’!

Arjun and Saif are ghostbusters out to con people in the film. You can check out the story from the trailer itself, we don’t have to tell you about it. It’s pretty clear. 😉

Saif Ali Khan is back in a funny role while Arjun Kapoor plays the stoic and a bit serious character. Then there’s Jacqueline Fernandez, who’s back in a presumably better and longer role than in her last appearance in ‘Radhe’, she’s opposite Saif in the film and playing the hot and gorgeous one. And there’s also Yami Gautam looking all scared and concerned, who gets a close encounter with the witch that Saifu and Arjun Baba is supposed to save her from.

And now, check out the trailer of The Brothers Grimm:

As you can see, the similarities are there!

What we are wondering is, who’s playing Monica Bellucci’s character in ‘Bhoot Police’? Or maybe, her role doesn’t really exist since it’s a Bollywood film and they have taken the liberty to switch things up! It’s fascinating how years after the original, Bollywood decides to do something similar. It’s even more surprising that there is another film in the works that might or might not be similar to this one!

Bhoot Police with a different cast!

Did you know? ‘Bhoot Police’ was announced in 2019 with a different cast.

The original cast included Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Faizal and Saif. Ali and Saif would have been an interesting combo to watch since they are both good at comedy. The story goes that the film switched hands, it went from being produced by Fox Star Hindi to Tips and when that happened, the star cast also changed baring Saifu. The film was also supposed to be released in theatres on September 10 but with the Rona still around causing havoc, that ain’t happening!

Psst…Did they really roll out the red carpet for this?

What’s interesting about the updated cast is, Saifu is the only one who can really act his part…and to some extent, so does Yami Gautam. The same can’t be said about the rest but Arjun does look fitter in this one. He has been looking fitter lately, it’s an up and down thing for him. Remember he did that music video sometime back and he was looking his old self, then suddenly he started looking fit.

In this film, though, Saifu looks like he’s playing a mixture of his characters from ‘Laal Kaptaan’ and ‘Cocktail’. He’s happy, excited and funny whereas Arjun is Arjun in the film. Jackie looks a bit different from her usual self but that’s old news. Some time back, she was worried that roles for her were drying up and look at her now!

Tis the season for scary-fun!

It is the season now for horror-comedy films. Arjun’s stepsis, Janhvi and Rajkumar Rao’s ‘Roohi’ released a while back on OTT, but it wasn’t that well-received by the audience and critics. Based on the response of ‘Bhoot Police’s trailer, it seems the audience is not going for this concept either.

‘Roohi’ had its flaws but it was an OK watch. We didn’t find it that horrible and based on this trailer, ‘Bhoot Police’ seems like a fun watch.

‘Bhoot Police’ is directed by Pavan Kirpalani and will be out on Disney+ Hotstar on September 17.

As usual, let’s go for a vote!
