Today is finally the day: Baahubali 2 Trailer is out

If you are one of the people that helped ‘Baahubali’ crossed 600+ crore worldwide, you might be one of those, who are eagerly anticipating the second and final part of the film. We were/are among those, who not only eagerly anticipated the second part, but also the trailer of ‘Baahubali 2’. Today, finally the film’s trailer released. If you are not a fan or familiar with ‘Baahubali’, let us tell you that this film is the most anticipated film of 2017. Actually, it has been most anticipated since the first one released. ‘Baahubali 2’ was supposed to be released last year, but they decided to spend some more time in making and completing the film, so the release date ended up being pushed to this year. The whole story of ‘Baahubali’ fascinated us when we finished watching the film. It wasn’t the story of the film, per say, but how it was conceptualised. It’s amazing how the director managed to get the funding to make Baahubali and that too, the money to make two parts of the film. How confident he must have been that the first one would run successfully because he was already making the second part when the first one released. Bear in mind that the costs to make both parts was the reason that ‘Baahubali’ was known as the most expensive film ever made in India. You all know how hard it is in Bollywood for movies to get funds, irrespective of who is in it. That’s what is puzzling about it. How do you have a movie in a different language appreciated by everyone and all critics? Has that ever happened before? The director was asked this question and he said his films are made on emotions and emotions are universal. It’s true because his other big film ‘Maghadeera’ was the first Telugu film we watched. For all we could think of, maybe the makers of ‘Baahubali’ went into this project fully prepared. If you saw the film, you will know what we are talking about. By the way, we saw it in three different languages: Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and everything was good in the film. By everything, we meant the dubbed voices, dialogues and most importantly, the songs. ‘Baahubali’ proved that a South film doesn’t need AR Rahman to have good songs because all of the songs in this film were catchy in all of the languages released. Alright, so back to ‘Baahubali 2’, it’s finally the conclusion that will tell us what happened in between the past and present of Baahubali’s story. Most importantly, it will tell us why Katappa killed Baahubali.

Baahubali 2 Trailer Launch

More of Anushka

As you can see in this trailer, Anushka Shetty takes centre stage. In the first part, you see her as the captured old lady that is later revealed to be Shivudu’s mother. In the second part, her story will be unveiled. The first shot of her in this trailer was filmed when the first part was shot. Several parts of the second one was filmed at the same time the first one was filmed. You can see the difference with Anushka because she was thinner when filming the first part. Later, she went on to make a film called ‘Size Zero’ where she plays an overweight young lady, so she had to put on a lot of weight to play the part. And like Vidya Balan faced after she was done with ‘The Dirty Picture’, Anushka had took time to shed off the weight. You can see the difference in this trailer. If you have never seen her work, you should definitely see it. Anushka has been around for years and that too, on top. It’s quite difficult maintaining a good position as a leading actress, considering how the South film industries are male dominated more than anything else. In the South, only Nayanthara and Anushka have managed to retain their top positions despite being in the business for a very long time and having to face competition from fresher and newer faces.

There was so much anticipation and hype with the second part of this film that somehow we feel the trailer fell a little short of the expectations. It was alright at the beginning, but then it got bigger too soon. Let’s hope the movie doesn’t disappoint and is even better than the first one. And finally, check out the trailer of ‘Baahubali 2’.
