While reading Hindustan Times, we came across this column by Malavika Sangghvi. This was right after Priyanka Chopra attended the MET Gala and the Royal Wedding. According to a Bollywood insider in that column, Priyanka is fiercely protective about her position as the only Bollywood actress in Hollywood. So much so that she thinks this is her territory and she will not let anyone from India get in there. Technically, the word used was “encroachment” and we had to look it up because we had no idea what it meant; it sounds a little like saying a cockroach is on you and doesn’t want to get off! It means trespassing, which pretty much means that she will not let anyone take over her spot or share her spotlight in America. So, this is to say that no one else (no other Bollywood actresses) can make it in Hollywood while she is there.

PC has confessed several times to being extremely competitive. It’s almost as if she’s got something to prove, like a chip on her shoulder; she plays much harder and believes the US is her territory and will not allow any encroachment.
As for her sense of PR, it is fantastic! Even as the confetti had not been dusted off after the Royal wedding, almost the first photographs to emerge were posted by Team Priyanka’s Twitter handle, which declared her the event’s ‘showstopper’. Soon, social media was flooded with pictures of the star’s attire, her Vivienne Westwood bespoke lavender suit and Philippe Treacy fascinator, such inspired choices…..
It is a little surprising, but not that much if you know PC and her ways to stay famous. Saying that this is her territory sounds scary as hell, and it reminds us of how cats like to mark their territories as well. Funny that they call two actresses fighting as “catfight!”.
Back to PC. If she wants to stay in Hollywood, she should probably build up a good reputation first. We all know if she burns bridges, there will not be her special someone around to build her another one. He is still looking for that jacket he misplaced!
Contrary to what she said at the beginning, TV networks over there are not rushing over and showing her all of their scripts so that she can decide which one she wants to act in. We all know where that favour came from.
As much as PC is a good actress in Bollywood, what is the deal with her in Hollywood? It’s like over there, she’s always on flirtatious mode. You might think she’s on the Bachelor! It’s so strange and weird too. Then, it got annoying. You can see she is trying, don’t know for what, but she is trying. How did that happen?
As of now, she has a film up for release and currently, she is being talked about because of Nick Jonas.

Blind Item 1 – Zac Efron and PC
It was a no go for this foreign born A-/B+ list mostly television actress on this ABC show when she tried to hit on this former A+ list tweener actor turned B+ list adult movie actor. She was hitting on him like crazy for a couple of hours at a television taping and he was having none of it.
Blind Item 2
The family of this foreign born B+ list mostly television actress from a new hit network show won’t speak to her or have anything to do with her because she has sex outside marriage. That is the least they should be worried about with her.
Blind Item 3
This foreign born A- list mostly television actress is not going to make the producers of her network show start liking her again when they see what she did to her lips and face while visiting what she said was the best plastic surgeon in the world. It looks atrocious and nothing like she did at the end of last season.
Blind Item 4
There was talk earlier this year of killing off this foreign born A-/B+ list mostly television actress from this meh ABC show. No one really likes her. But, since the show was doing poorly anyway they figured what was the point of going through all the headlines if the show was going to be canceled anyway. It is still on the bubble.
Blind Item 5 – Tom Hiddleston and PC
At the rehearsals for the show, the flirting between this foreign born A- list dual threat actor who is an Emmy winner/nominee and this foreign born actress got a bit out of hand. That top she was wearing kept falling down every time she raised her arms above her head and she seemed to be doing that every couple of minutes. They left the place in a very good mood and left together which is not how they arrived. Pretty sure someone now has a voodoo doll of her.

How thirsty is this? This A- list mostly television actress who only gets that high because she is on a hit network show and works hard to get noticed gave a ride to a pap so she could take her photo arriving to an event. The pap said it was not worth his time to drive over there so our actress gave him a ride there and an Uber to go back home. Plus gave him $250.
Blind Item 7
This foreign born A- list mostly television actress has a hit network show that is still in its infancy. Apparently everyone hates working with her and everyone tries desperately to work on the days she is not shooting. Whether it be her co-stars or crew, to them she is the next Katherine Heigl. Same network where Katherine started off too.
Blind Item 8
Once again, this foreign born A- list mostly television actress from a middling network show has made more people dislike her. A charity event. She was asked to do something and said yes. Tons of other celebs came in and did their piece and were happy. Not our actress. It was one thing after the other until there were five or six crew members just trying to make her happy.
Blind Item 9 – Claire Danes and PC
There is no love lost between these two recent film co-stars. Normally they are each A/A- list television actresses on respective hit shows. One is foreign born and one of the reasons the other actress dislikes her so much is the constant partying the actress does and the missed photocalls and press appearances. Oh, and showing up wasted to the premiere probably didn’t help either.
It will be interesting to see how far can PC take her Hollywood journey. The fact that she has signed ‘Bharat’ opposite Salman Khan showed that maybe she knew already that things are not looking good in the west. It could also be that she is counting on ‘Bharat’ to be a super duper hit so that her stocks can increase and she will get more offers over there. As for Bollywood, it will be hard for her to survive here as well. She pissed off a lot of people, who are only going to be happy to see her fail.
Still, all this doesn’t change the fact that she has managed to achieve in the west, in terms of being seen at the right places. Also, can’t forget the first time her name appeared on the introduction credits of ‘Quantico’, there was a moment of pride. Don’t know why, but there was.

that one interview where she called her ex, a MF (lol) late last year, she clarified later saying she was misquoted.
@Monalisa: I think a legally valid marriage would leak to the press in this digital age. Affairs can be and are hidden, people’s lips are zipped with money bribes, career advancement etc, but a marriage license wouldn’t be easy to disappear into thin air.

Really? PC parents wanted a married old man for PC? I understand her falling in love but no father would want this for their daughter.
It’s really disheartening to see how her Hollywood career is being post mortemed here. Whatever it is, she did try, even at the expense of looking like a joke now with Nick.

All these talk about PC’s dad wanting SRK to take care of PC, reminded me of a blind a couple of years back (I think around the time of her dad’s illness or after his death. Can’t recall the exact year), PC and SRK got married in Dubai as her dad wanted to see her married and taken care of. Was that blind true?? Need some clarification??
Also, eventhough I’m a SRK fan I always believed PC-SRK was more than a fling. But I thought they broke up because of all the shades PC was throwing at her ex in interviews. Calling her ex MF, saying that she wanted to get married have kids, jacket gate..etc..

She deffinitely was made by Anjula there’s no denying that,yes Anjula saw bluffmaster and thought she’s got something for the West. But guess who recommended that Video to her ? You have three guesses. She very much voiced her desire to sing western music someday.
This thing between PC and SRK did not jus suddenly start late 2010 and lasted for 6+ years . This wasn’t a casual fling.They weren’t hiding either , at the beginning of shoot on Quantico SRK gifted EACH and EVERYONE from the CREW a Hoverboard (at that time brand new minimum 280 $ per piece) simply because ladylove liked his own , so he SHOWED up on SETS personally and played father christmas! Mind you not shying away from reffering to him as her boyfriend infront of some 200 people. There’s an Interview where her Cast Members Jake Mclaughlin and Graham Rogers tlak about that.
SRK has been showing interest in her career ACTIVELY since 2005/2006. She would pick up Awards on his behalf (with his best freinds Kajol, Karan etc. being in the audience) , passionately defend him , befriend his friends, his wife and Sister.
Anjula has the connections that matter and uttilises those to perfection for PC but it’s SRK who not only kept her bollywood doors open but also introduced her to key personalities in London and yes even the US. SRK always plays lowkey regarding the friends he has worldwide by the way. Reasonable considering the shady things the rich like to invest in. And i’m not even talking abut the entertainmen industry in the west that was entirely Anjula , but i’m talking the mony people – the businessmen with influence.
And to be clear NOBODY is discrediting PC’s own contribution to her career in the west , that would just be plain tone-deaf, of course she herself is a networking Master , she is incredibly eloquent and knows how to act smart. But there’s no denying who influenced her. in March last year they were already broken up as a couple (though they reconcilled briefly in july -August ) but that didn’t stop Madhu Chopra of hugging it out with him on Manish’s Show.Her father wanted him to take responsibility for (look after her) her entire family knowing very much SRK is married with kids. Her brothers pub thingy that Srk sponsored failed miserable. So for the people thinking there were just an affair, sorry to burst your bubble.
SRK and Kanika Kapoor are a consentual lighthearted fling look at the remuneration she’s getting in London due to her numerous affairs primarly though through SRK. She was the only indian to perform at Buckingham palace . i mean we’re not talking calibre of a.r. rahman or so but KANIKA KAPOOR!!
Wow, good observation. SRK, on his part, really disrespected his wife. It was obvious that nothing was the same anymore the minute he invited PC to Mannat despite knowing that his wife was not OK with it. He couldn’t care less. And what was someone said about that KJo party that PC got thrown out of and got invited back again? They said the minute PC walked in, SRK literally jumped over a sofa to greet her and he stayed by her side all night. Kinda sounds funny but it seems that PC made SRK feel like he was Ra.One in real life! 😉
Maybe I can help with why her music career didn’t take off…
The songs were awful. Despite having successful producers, they were just flat out bad. She was autotuned to the nth degree. Sometimes autotune is used as a production device. But it’s mostly used to keep sketchy singing in key. You be the judge.
Most of the females pop singers who are stars here started as teenagers. Not at 30. As beautiful as she is, beginning a singing career at 30….. you’re late to the party and considered old. When I hit 29 and still couldn’t get there. I wisely bailed.
Remaking a hit ballad as a heavily autotuned semi-dance song is a bad idea…. really bad.
Maybe this sheds a little light on that aspect of the conversation.
I have always wondered about that hug at Manish’s show. Why would her parents want her with a married man even if he is Shah Rukh Khan?! There was no shot in hell he would throw away his legacy and quit his wife for PC, even i knew that.

this article is just full of irrational, blatant hatred for Priyanka. It’s impossible for Priyanka to stop other Bollywood stars from entering Hollywood so I don’t understand how you’re accusing her of doing that. Radika Apte and Vir Das are doing very well in Hollywood too so are they being sponsored by SRK as well? Lily Singh is making it big in Hollywood too, is SRK helping her as well? Seems like you’re just trying to discredit Priyanka’s success and hustle. Her and her team have worked very hard for whatever little they’ve achieved. Just like Deepika is getting projects through her management CAA, Priyanka too was signed with CAA and now she’s with WME. I think their agents and managers have better connections in Hollywood than some washed up old actor in Bollywood. PR Tactics or not they will try their best to break into another industry and I commend them for that. I don’t know why you’re trying so hard to pull Priyanka down but you should stop it Admin. Vir Das has said multiple times that Priyanka has opened doors for Indian people in Hollywood. These are people with first hand experience saying it. Leave Priyanka alone and let her do her thing. Priyanka, her manager Anjula, publist Dana, agency WME have and will put a lot of hard work into her Hollywood career. Her success has and will only open doors for other, not close. I really don’t think Priyanka thinks Hollywood is only her territory. She’s been very supportive to lots of people. Priyanka has always wanted to balance both Bollywood and Hollywood so doing Bharat or any other Bollywood film isn’t because she has to, it’s because she wants to. A lot of her fans have been wanting her to do a Bollywood film for a while now, she knows she has a audience there too which she wants to keep.

Calm down, it’s an observation with facts fully researched, not made-up.
Nobody is denying that PC is very, very, talented. Hell, I am still rooting for her success, and think among the whole bunch who tried to transition there, she’s the best. But there’s no denying that SRK opened that door for her – which is sad, but hey she made the room her own, all by herself. She showed others how its done.
You are right, she can’t prevent others from coming, but doesn’t mean she isn’t feeling territorial. I am sure if any of us create a brand new business in a new locality, and then see others doing the same, and it cuts into our profit, we would feel the same.
Now if she only won some goodwill and networked on her own, that might help.
Hey m, Priyanka could very well be sleeping with the studio heads and other big wigs in Hollywood 🙂 Heck, I’m even willing to take that as the most likely reason behind all the offers she gets in the West than the SRK angle. In other words, I’m just saying whatever she has achieved in the West is not down to SRK, as the Admin would have you believe. That’s all.

All PC has managed in Hollywood is to keep herself in the news, she is not known for good acting. She is D-list in Hollywood and she acts like it. Publicising her friendship with Meghan, jacket gate, fake PR romance with Nick and staging paparazzi pics. This is the stuff that low grade actors do not A-list actors. Radika and Vir are trying to be known for their work not publicity shams. As I said earlier, pity as PC has a nice body of work in Bollywood and has done some amazing films but nothing in terms of respect/good acting in Hollywood. No one over there will remember her once she has disappeared but she has a chance at a decent legacy in Bollywood.
Also as a general comment could we stop blaming the admin for the articles. This site is satire about Bollywood through blind gossip. They write an intelligent, humorous story based on facts and actions of the stars. Just because our favourites pop up in the stories doesn’t mean they are innocent lambs or that admin is picking on them. Name one current star that is not a subject of blind gossip? If you want feel-good stories go to the other sites where our faves pay for a positive story. No one is forcing us to this site so don’t come here to complain about admin. Do you really believe in an industry where the likes of Jennifer Lawrence slept with Harvey Weinstein to get the right roles and awards, someone unknown to them is getting around just from her pure hustle? I have a bridge to sell you then. Being a fan is okay but closing yourself off from reality doesn’t make sense.
Whatever initial help and boost she got, she has managed to make the best of it. It requires a bit of brazenness (or shamelessness) to leak so many bikini pics right before the Baywatch release or to go on every talk show and talk about Megan Markle and confirm about attending her wedding. Quantico’s cancellation was immediately followed up with a PR relationship just like the Baywatch flop was followed up with the jacket stunt. She plays these games better than most people and if fame is her preferred final destination, she is sure working it.

If Anjula had to place her bets on any actress at that time (we are talking about 2009-10), it had to be Priyanka. Kareena, Rani, Preity, Aishwarya, Deepika, Bipasha, none had what she was looking for.

There is a clear, calculated thought process behind Priyanka’s foray into the West — where does SRK come any of it?
SRK provided PC with his connections to help her network in US. We didn’t realise this then because we thought that he was just helping her out as a colleague. Didn’t know there was more to it. PC’s father wanted her to become a singer and before he died, he was able to see her sing. Do you think this lady made it happen? What are the odds of that? You know how many young people struggle to make it over there. PC’s case is clearly of something providing the financial means to support her music career. Ain’t no way the Americans themselves paid for all of this. It’s definitely a combination of power and money.
Admin, you’re wrong in this. If you had read the Live Mint piece you wouldn’t have been singing this song. If SRK was all powerful he’d have gotten himself a similar gig and not wrestle it out here in Bollywood.
Nah, we know people who tried to make it there…Why would SRK want to make it there? He’s a superstar in India! As for PC, this was literally the only option for her since she pissed off a lot of people in Bollywood, all because of SRK. You know, even Mallika Sherawat had the backing of Russell Simmons and he’s someone influential over there. He couldn’t make things happen for her, just got her one photoshoot and citizenship. You do need backing to make it in Hollywood, talent alone doesn’t count.
I find it funny that people actually believe Anjula pulled this off. Who is she?! What makes you think this random woman could open doors everywhere for PC? She doesn’t even have any other clients.
SRK has the kind of connections people can only dream of. When he had trouble at an airport, do you know who he called? Jim Gianopulos, the CEO of Fox Studios, at that time. He heads Paramount now. People like Harvey Weinstein (before he got caught for sex abuse) have called him a legend and praised him for not venturing into HW and doing his own thing. Brett Ratner throws dinner parties for him. Directors like Paul Feig (Ghostbusters) and his wife send him messages on twitter asking to be invited to Mannat. They even follow his fan clubs. There are many more examples like that.
SRK definitely has the ability to make a few phone calls and give a push and recommend people for jobs. No matter how much hustle Anjula Acharia has, it goes to waste without someone truly powerful putting a word in.
Admin, I can’t believe you’re comparing Priyanka to Mallika Sherawat! Does Mallika Sherawat have any visible talent? And Priyanka’s case is very different from all those young people you mention. She went there with the tag of Bollywood superstar and not an ingénue. Please share the name of the persons you know who tried to make it there and failed — did they have an active career in Bollywood prior to that? I’m not a Priyanka fan at all but you gotta give credit where it is deserved. She worked on herself and made herself palatable to the Western audience. Just watch her Vogue 73 Questions — do you think Deepika can conduct sessions like that? She can barely string a sentence without resorting to ‘I think, I feel’. Your insistence that Priyanka’s success in Hollywood is down to SRK’s connections is making you sound like a case of sour grapes stemming from your favourite Deepika’s failure to create any dent there.
And Tina, guess what? The whole of Bollywood knows the Feigs — heck, even Nargis Fakhri starred in one of their films. In fact, the Feigs are better friends of K.Jo’s than SRK’s. And K.Jo also knows Jim Gianopulos. How so? Because of My Name Is Khan, which was Fox Star distributed by Fox Star. And Brett Ratner — isn’t he the guy who was involved with the Roshans’ Kites? All these connections you brought up are not exclusive to SRK — there are many people in Bollywood who know these people and more influential ones. So Deepika couldn’t leverage any of it? And oh, Deepika is being managed by CAA in Hollywood, which is a much bigger agency than Priyanka’s. CAA, arguably the most powerful talent agency in Hollywood, couldn’t open all these doors for Deepika, but an SRK sitting in Bombay could — with just one phone call. Wow, he sure sounds like some kind of a transnational Godfather/mafia.
Mallika might not be talented, but she had or still has real Hollywood connections. Again for her, maybe it’s something that came from her relationship with a powerful person. She is the one who introduced Brett Ratner to the Roshans. You know this other actress, Pooja Bhatra, she too has connections and know people in Hollywood but it’s all because of her husband’s profession that connects him with these stars. PC is talented, but we know for sure she didn’t make it on her own. Again, this is not comparing Deepika and PC..They are poles apart in their profession. There is a reason why PC shifted base and it’s not because she was flooded with offers. Just wait and see if she can get her career back on track in Bollywood after Bharat. Till date, Aishwarya Rai is the most popular Indian actress in the West.
It’s not about SRK exclusively having contacts but those others would never pull strings for PC. She herself did not have those connections and the Roshans and Karan Johar would not do anything for her. Not only that, SRK has a lot more connections than those. Being at the forefront of your industry means that you do get to know lots of studio heads and producers and other people in power. For example, the Netflix CEO has hung out at SRK’s house multiple times and has a deal with Red Chillies. It’s not that difficult for SRK to call up someone like him and make a push if he wanted to for someone.
CAA did open doors for Deepika, didn’t they? If she had debuted with the Fast franchise, it would have worked out better for her. Vin Diesel mentioned it himself that she couldn’t do it due to her schedule so you can’t blame DP’s pr for lies in that case. xXx was a bad movie but it was no worse than Baywatch and DP had a better role in her movie than PC did. She is getting the same kind of invites like the MET gala and Vanity Fair parties that PC gets. PC also started a few years earlier so she had a head start. The other thing is DP did not want to shift bases completely and move away to the US and is still actively working in BW in a way Priyanka wasn’t.
I’m not sure why you think PC is so ahead of DP. PC has managed to get more fame because she had a tv show even though it was very low-rated but as for future projects, I think both are at the same level in terms of what they would be able to get. Losing Quantico was a big blow and it’s not surprising she started a PR relationship to stay in the news to offset that. She seems like she’s trying to get a tv show on the Starz channel now.
Disagree about Aishwarya. I live in the US and nobody knows her at all. She made a small blip a very long time ago but time moves on and people forget. Out of the BW actresses who tried, PC is the one with the most fame but she is not the big deal her fans try to make it seem either. It’s also difficult to sustain and she knows it too which is why she is doing Bharat now.
I do have to hand it to her for being able to land a movie with Salman. I don’t expect it to be good at all but it’s a mainstream role in a commercial movie at 35 years old when half the industry dislikes you.

Admin never compared PC’s acting/singing talent with Mallika. Your’s is a strawman argument – you are trying to refute something that was not even said by them.
Also, have you wondered how and why SRK ended up a presenter at the Golden Globes? Or how he managed to get Lady Gaga to party at Lap in 2011, which was owned by Arjun Rampal then? Post 2012, PC and Gaga were then hanging out in Hollywood, because guess what, they had the same manager.
Personally, I think big Hollywood players would be more interested in Aamir than SRK, given his box office pull in India as well as China. But Aamir for all his faults, is a ‘clean living’ kind of guy. No excess drinking, drugs, smoking, or late night partying etc. Aamir also has a chip on his shoulder about not completing his education. So he doesn’t network/party like SRK. Which I think is a good thing.
Salman, does have a few Hollywood links, but because of his past he won’t be able to leverage himself much in the west. Anil K. tries, but he goes overboard, and falls flat on his face. Like when he had Tom Cruise over, and hired a crowd to act crazy over him – everyone just laughed their head off.
SRK though – the man is a walking-talking social networking machine, and knows how to leverage it, for himself and his coterie. SRK is one of the few (maybe only) Bollywood actors who actually goes to Davos. He will manage to get Rahul Gandhi at his matches…etc etc.
Admin, I’m not saying that Priyanka made it out on her own — but it ain’t SRK. She had and still has Anjula Acharia hustling and opening doors for her and she is making the best of it. And you just regurgitated what I said: your connections can take you only so far. Mallika Sherawat, Pooja Batra all have good connections and possibly better connections than SRK, so why couldn’t they launch themselves in Hollywood in any form? It goes back to what I am saying: Priyanka has the looks, talent and temperament for the Western audience and she moulded herself even more to succeed there.
And Tina, the reason I mentioned all those Bollywood-Hollywood connections is that, why couldn’t Deepika leverage it like Priyanka did if we go by yours and Admin’s version? Deepika didn’t piss off the whole of Bollywood like Priyanka did, so wouldn’t all these people be more willing to make calls to their Hollywood contacts for her? YRF and the Ambanis have deeper Hollywood connections than SRK and her boyfriend is the darling of YRF. And oh, just Google Anjula Acharia — she is no random lady. Deepika has nowhere near the same level of exposure as Priyanka in Hollywood. True, she attended the Met Gala for two years (so did Natasha Poonawalla) but no one talked about her. She didn’t even make it to any of the Best Dressed lists but guess who did?
And I wonder why filmmakers are not falling over themselves to sign up Deepika despite being the “No. 1 actress” in Bollywood. She has no films in hand and that superhero film was just a desperate PR stunt that got called out for what it was in no time.
Even though Bollywood actors are a big deal to its audience, Hollywood people couldn’t care less about them. Among the current struggle of actors securing jobs are black actors, Hispanic actors and then Asian actors. They have a range of actors, so why would they bother with Indian actors over in India? Oh and Pooja Bhatra is not interested anymore in acting, she does other things now. Forget Deepika, there are other way more talented actors in India and yet, Hollywood doesn’t really care to approach them with roles. Probably the only actors who have steadily worked in Hollywood without much publicity are Irrfan Khan and Anupam Kher.
To be honest, we never believed the SRK-PC rumours at the beginning because we refused to believe that PC can be this dumb to again involve herself with a married man. So when news of PC getting a singing contract came out, we thought it was strange but good for her. Then the album never came out and she sent out news of her being in a TV series, totally bypassing news of her music career. We thought that maybe the music career was put aside because she got this TV job and had to concentrate on that. Again, it was strange how she got this opportunity to be on American television. She is no Viola Davis or Jessica Lange.
Still, we thought that maybe she is really popular and that’s why they wanted her. But then if she was really popular, what happened to her music career over there? These were what we thought about her entry in US. Due to the way she has been acting before Baywatch came out, we have been thinking that there is no way these things happened in that order. The jacket interview, the desperate for attention Instagram posts before Sridevi’s death, this snippet from HT’s article and the fake link-up are pretty much showing that she is trying her best to make it work over there because she knows she is going to have a harder time trying to make it in Mumbai.
Her slyly calling SRK as her ex is just something else; it’s daring. Either she felt she was used or her reaction was because she lost an important and powerful connection in her life. And yes, she was drunk when she said all that. We think it pretty much connects the dots as to how she got a career over there. Yes, Anju Acharia might have gotten interested in her since Bluffmaster days, but if she was really that street smart, she would have known that investing in a music career for PC is not going to work in Hollywood.
UNLESS she was hired by someone to help PC make a career out of singing. Looking back now, we 100% feel that there is no way this whole thing happened organically. It definitely happened with the help of someone powerful. That’s all we are saying. 🙂
Ok. This is a little weird because I’m American and I’m commenting on an Indian celeb gossip site. I’m also a big fan of Hindi cinema and have seen over 100 movies. Priyanka IS big star here. But, she has yet to pull off a solid performance in a successful Hollywood movie. Baywatch bombed at the box office. We’ll see how her upcoming releases do. I don’t blame Quantico’s cancellation on her. The show just wasn’t that good, although she was good in it. This Nick Jonas stuff is a joke. I wouldn’t put any faith in it.
On the other hand, DP scored big with XXX. Not exactly killer cinema, but wildly successful. There’s plenty of room for both of them (and other Indian actors) here.
As far as her pissing people off, who knows? When you are beautiful and successful, there’s always someone out there who would love to run you down.
Hollywood is not exactly overflowing with talent. I believe both of them (and others) will do well. Just my 2 cents.

In a way it’s no big deal. Pr works is nothing new. She’s single and she can hit on ppl and have fun too. A little bit of lies for your career when you don’t have a Godfather is also understandable.
But the fake relationship, the unhealthy competitiveness and the rude thing struck me hard. I never expected these three from her perhaps.

Any one who thinks SRK is not powerful enough to sponsor pc’s Hollywood career should do better research on SRK.
__ SRK’so net worth is $600 million +, he has strong connections with underworld, business tycoons , media moguls, Hollywood connections etc.
__ And Srk’s amongst the richest and most influential celebritit’s across the globe.

__ Pc was launched in Hollywood with her music video’s. Common Pc can hardly sing. All her songs involve a lot of auto tune and back up singers. Why would Akon or pitbull collaborate with a non-singer. And Pc wasn’t even on top of her Bollywood career when these music videos were released. So someone has helped her with their contacts.
__ And according to rajeev masands blind it was in mid 2016 or mid 2017 when pc and Srk actually broke up. I’ll post the link of the blind once I locate the blind. Why do you think Pc was only talking about the jacket very recently, cause Srk and pc totally cut off ties in 2016 and 2017.

About the article, you misunderstood it. This was made on the basis of that HT column article. Just that one observation in it, which we found fascinating and have never ourselves thought of that. This is about PC and no one else. You are probably connecting it to DP because of the Hollywood thing but then again, PC is already miles ahead of DP who might not be trying for Hollywood anymore. But what if DP was never trying for Hollywood, would you have still made that connection?
PC came before DP and we were fans of her since the beginning. We followed both her careers in Hollywood and Bollywood. Honestly, felt proud to see her the first time on television talk shows and award shows. But then, her behaviour changed and it was not the same anymore. That is what we mentioned in the article as well. As for DP, have not seen anything of hers in Hollywood, not even that film or talk shows interviews. Have only heard the brouhaha over what she said about wanting to have Vin Diesel’s babies..
This is so true especially her not wanting other bollywood actresses cough DEEPIKA PADUKONE to be there. Even before the release of xXx3 PC had her PR team release old videos of Deepika being called Priyanka and her copying PCs dresses. She used her PR against Deepika so.many.times. if she truly wanted to bring India over to HW she wouldn’t have a problem with Deepika being there too. It would have been so cool to see them support each other over there and prove the media who compare with both, wrong. But I see why they don’t talk to eachother. Nowhere in the article did we mentioned about DP because it’s not about her or anyone else. It is all based on what this Bollywood insider said about PC and what she thinks of herself in Hollywood. The only reason we shared it is that this revelation makes a lot of sense, PC made her entry and stay in Hollywood looked really easy peasy but that is not the case at all. Yes, the CDAN blinds cannot be 100% trusted but compared to other sites, they had a lot of blind items about PC and her situation over there. Anjali and her husband Ranj Bath are the founders of the ‘Desi Hits’ multi-media company…they came at the right time, like Sabeer Bhatia with hotmail, and I believe they made really good money. More importantly, they made good contacts and built a network. But, Priyanka definitely got to know her through SRK. But Anjali’s contacts are limited to the music industry – which is how PC was first introduced there. Unless you’re a huge true blue movie star, doing movies doesn’t help that much. It’s mainly limited to small roles and they’re one-off things that come and go. TV shows help sustain celebrity status much easier because they’re long term and every few months, they push you into talk shows and events for promotions. Quantico was a huge help to her in spite of being a terrible show that nobody watched.

Thirsty and despo is exactly what PC is in Hollywood. Also fake. In interviews she says she wants other Indians to be in Hollywood but the reality is she is competitive. She does get talked about in Hollywood but not for her acting. In fact she is trashed a lot for it especially online. I’ve seen episodes of Quantico and the movie Baywatch and she was so bad and wooden it was embarrassing. In Bollywood she was amazing in Bajirao Mastani, Fashion Aitraaz. It seems she is trying to get noticed at any cost. No one will miss her in Hollywood as she has not contributed anything to cinema or tv in terms of performance. Pity
