National Film Awards for 2019 announced

The National Awards last year were postponed due to the pandemic, so they just announced it today. Bear in mind, the films and performances had to be from the year before and not last year.

The not so surprise winners were Kangana Ranaut and Vijay Sethupathi. With all the noise that Kangu made on Twitter to divert attention away from real things, she obviously had to be rewarded. It’s funny because we were thinking the other day that one of the reasons she does what she does is because the government has awarded her in the past so she feels the need to standby them and protect them. Something like that. Her winning this award is similar to Akshay Kumar’s win, the jury couldn’t even come up with a valid reason why they gave him that award out of all the actors in India. Similarly, for Kangu, she was good in ‘Panga’ but way better in ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’. No doubt, she might win again next year for ‘Thalaivi’.

Ever since we saw ‘Super Deluxe’ we have been waiting for the day Vijay Sethupathi would be announced and here he is! He deserves it!

As for best film win ‘Chhichhore’, it’s quite a simple and plain film to win this award. Weren’t there no better film released? Obviously, this has a lot to do with the late Sushant Singh Rajput. It’s a wonder they didn’t acknowledged him or his performance. But then, he never really did show his support for the government publicly, so…Also, the hype post his death has slowed down a bit. If they did reward him, trolls would be like: CBI, tell us what happened!
