May 2018 – Bollywood Blind Item 4
The other blind item for today comes from Rajeev Masand. It speaks about this actor and how he felt betrayed when his actor-friend didn’t call him up to support him when he was going through hell trying to get his film released from this production house. Well if a man is not loyal to his wife, how can you expect him to be loyal to you? Actually, that’s not fair because men do stick together despite not being loyal to their wives. But this actor is known to be money-minded, so it’s not a surprise at all that he didn’t meddle in the legal problems that the other one was having.
As it is, we have been wondering why he didn’t bother to help this production since they worked together and he even got a prestigious award for one of their films. He is the first star they worked with when they were doing well and suddenly when they worked with other stars, their bad luck started. Does it have something to do with the fact that he took most of the profits their films together made? In the last film together, it is known that he took away all of the profits hence leaving very little for the producers. As far as we know, the film’s budget was around Rs 40 crore and it made approximately Rs 70 crore at the box office. The actor deciding on taking the money for the digital and satellite rights of the film home and together with the film’s profits, he went home with Rs 40 crore! So much for doing films for social causes!
So back to this blind item now. As you can see, the actor couldn’t care less of friendships. He only cares about money. It’s why he works in a gazillion films per year. So yes, the blind item below is not surprising at all. Let’s see if these two will work together in the future since the actor in the blind item said they were both discussing about doing a sequel to their earlier hit film.

A Friend in Need
An actor-producer who had a major falling out recently with his co-producer over financial irregularities and her inability to make payments in time to complete their film, is said to be deeply upset with another actor, a former co-star with whom he shared a warm friendship. Insiders are saying the actor-producer doesn’t hide the fact that he feels especially betrayed by his friend for not helping him when he had his back against the wall.
The actor-producer reportedly reached out to his friend when the problems with his co-producer began. Since his friend was the one who had vouched for the said co-producer’s credibility—having made two movies with her without any hitches—the actor- producer thought it was best to ask his friend to intervene when her cheques began to bounce and when it became clear they had a problem. But his friend stayed out of the matter completely, he has said. Forget intervening, he complains that his friend didn’t so much as make a supportive phone call to him in light of the situation.
