Mahesh Bhatt denies throwing his chappal at Kangana

So, again we bring you news from SKJ. This time, it’s about the chappal-throwing incident. There’s has been a response from the other side. Not from the chappals’ brand, but from the chappals’ owner’s daughter and her PapaJo.

Here’s what sources (aka Aloo and PapaJo) said about the chappal throwing incident:

At least, not that Mahesh can remember. He is not one to fling things at people and that too at a film’s premiere. Kangana and her sister are making wild allegations at the entire industry. The Bhatt family seems a special area of target for the Ranaut sisters. They have already picked on Mahesh , his wife Soni, daughter Alia.

The family is now waiting to see who’s next …maybe Mahesh’ elder daughter Pooja? Who knows, Pooja may have caused some offence some time in the past. We are all waiting to be pulled up and punished by Kangana and her sister,” a close friend of the Bhatts interjects sarcastically.

Well, it’s not shocking he does not remember. After all, this was in 2006. Since then, Mahesh Bhatt has been busy memorising interesting quotes from the world book of quotes after he recovered from being an alcoholic and womanizer.

Whoever gave this information also makes fun of that incident, like if it was something normal that happened. Like, she deserved it.

You see, even replying to an accusation/comment made by Kangana’s sister, they had to use “sources”. They couldn’t do it on their own. Couldn’t Mahesh Bhatt come out and give a comment on this? Say a famous quote, perhaps. Or maybe simply apologize even if he doesn’t remember.

But no…

They want to make fun of her and they still do it using the back door. And this is about Mahest Bhatt. The man, who puts his nose in everything. The minute his nephew Emraan Hashmi told him his son had cancer, he straightaway went to the media and told them about it.

For those, who have no idea on what has been happening between the Ranaut sisters and KebabJo’s Gang.

Here’s a little recap:

Kangana Ranaut during the promotions, release and after release of her last film ‘Manikarnika’ claimed that the Bollywood nepotism gang is doing everything in their power to make sure she and her film fails at the box office.

From creating bad word of mouth to making up controversies to stopping theatre owners from showing ‘Manikarnika’, the nepotism group, which is controlled by their leader KJo, all ganged up against Kangana and ‘Manikarnika’.

Let’s go back a little further to figure out where this KJo and Kangana thing started. When Kangana went on KJo’s chat show and called him out on being the mafia king and the father of nepotism. Since then, the media started asking everyone about nepotism and until today, they still ask about nepotism. KJo was humiliated, but he kept quiet in the front while behind the scenes started his naagin dance. This was just the beginning…

Back to ‘Manikarnika’. It seems Kangana had no idea about all this and invited her colleagues for ‘Manikarnika’, including Alia to the screening of the film and to watch the film’s trailer. All she got was a dead-pin silence from everyone, including Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. The only relevant actress, who praised ‘Manikarnika’ trailer was Shraddha Kapoor.

Initially, she thought Alia would return the favour since Kangana dropped everything to watch ‘Raazi’ when Alia called her and requested her to watch the film. After, Kangana praised Alia to the roof any as soon as she watched the film.

After Kangana vented out her anger, Alia was asked about it and pretended not to know why Kangana was upset:

Long story short…

Kangana realized everyone is ganging up against her when further strange things started happening, like the who-directed-Manikarnika, the many fights between Kangu and her co-stars and directors and that epic fake horse fight.

And, let’s not forget the many gossips about her turning up uninvited at Kareena’s house for dinner parties. Also, this picture that Karan posted right after Hrithik went on air to tell his side of the story about what happened between him and Kangana.

1

It’s hard to believe all this happening. It’s easy to believe she is out of her mind, but here the problem is. KJo & Gang are doing all these spiteful things from behind the scenes while Kangana and her sister are fighting it all out in public. In a way, they are showing them that they are not scared and are not willing to back down.

Yesterday, Alia was asked about Kangana’s sister’s comments about her father and she said she doesn’t want to respond.

Rangoli straightaway responded to Alia’s response:

Now you know why KebabJo and his gang meet up at his place every other week. How else do they have the time to come up with these stories? Alia, Ranbir and Ayan spend more time at KJo’s house than on the sets of ‘Brahmastra’! #truestory

P.S. Since KJo himself said RK can send out spread news fast.

Was he the one who announced ‘Kalank’s big opening? Supposedly, it was the biggest opening of 2019!

Yes, the film with a rating lower than ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ got the biggest opening of the year!

Other than Alia Bhatt & Gang, Kangana’s sister also went after Deepika and her foundation after they called for ‘Mental Hai Kya’ makers and actors to be more responsible and sensible when it comes to using these words.

Image result for mental hai kya gifs

The film has not released yet. Even its trailer has not been released, so how do these foundations know what it’s about?

Also, there is nothing bad about the words “mental” or “crazy”. It’s all in the way you say it and the way you see it. If you are using these words to insult someone, then it’s wrong. If you are using it playfully or out of care then there’s nothing wrong with that.

Besides, the title of this film was announced months ago before the shooting started. If anyone had a problem with it, they should have said something back then. Now posters are out and the film’s title has already been registered, it’s not that easy to backtrack on that.

If this is offensive then there should also be a stop against depicting rape scenes or even harassment scenes in films.

Absolutely. Just because Soni Razdan holds a British passport , she cannot call out something she deems unjust?
Lobbying is rampant in Hindi films. Deepika Padukone , Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn( they are the promoters of favouritism and lobbying) , recently Akshay Kumar made Rohit Shetty hire Katrina Kaif for Sooryavanshi , Taapsee Pannu removed from a movie, Aamir khan editing Katrina Kaif’s song from Dhoom 3 , Fatima Sana sheikh ,courtesy of Aamir and many many more. Why point out only Alia??
If she found favour in the eyes of Karan Johar, how is it her mistake I fail to get. Her meh acting skills and equally boring personality are one thing and she utilising Karan Johar’s patronage to her benefit is another. Kangana Ranaut called her Karan Johar’s puppet , which she is definitely, but if she isn’t, then maybe she will lose out on roles. How is she to be blamed for she looking out for herself?

Karan Johar should be blamed for her controlled actions or anybody’s that he is chaperoning. He only hires people in his comfort zone. He should diversify with the lead pairing for his movies. Work with everybody . I mean we all have our favourites but this unnecessary power dynamics is getting no one anywhere, and these regressive movies like SOTY franchise. He still has the Kuch Kuch Hota hangover clearly.
Dharma Productions kept hiring Shahrukh and Kajol also for the longest time or Yash Raj films hiring Parineeti Chopra recently for their small budget films, and if Alia Bhatt is stealing films then I believe everybody in Hindi film industry is a thief .

Voicing out the truth and obvious has nothing to do with being a”citizen” or a “non-citizen”!! Being a so-called “local” or a citizen doesn’t mean you can falsify the facts. Tomorrow if an Indian immigrant working in UK sees his Brit neighbour beating the life out of his wife ,or kids or any such dire circumstance, won’t the Indian immigrant intervene and call him out ,discouraging him to do so? If “non-citizens” don’t and cannot interfere in the democratic or any process of a country, then why did India give intel to Sri Lanka warning them about the 21 April 2019 serial bomb blasts? Why did India thereafter, send out a very strong message against violence condemning it and extending all support to help Sri Lanka? Why did all the other countries do the same for that matter??

Because it’s called Humanity. Securing our diplomatic relations so that we can help each other and co-exist in harmony. If Soni Razdan’s tweet was so offensive, Twitter would have disabled her account . Or.maybe she would have been questioned by the authorities. Did any of that happen?

Trump's idea on immigration was "Buy American Hire American". He wants to safeguard the American nationals' interests first above others. Now , this could be a disadvantage for the already existing community of Native Indian Americans. Their lives SHOULD NOT get jeopardised because of this. This was done with intention of discouraging the future immigrants. The H-1B visa holders mostly in the tech sector are Indians and Chinese considered to be way smarter, cheaper, more flexible than the American nationals' over there. We, India should also implement that without fail. Giving preference to our nationals first in terms of work and development.

Until then , people like Soni Razdan, Alia Bhatt, Akshay Kumar and family, Imran Khan, Deepika Padukone , Sunny Leone, will be working and flourishing .
Soni Razdan, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Akshay Kumar are Overseas Citizens of India. OCI is an answer to people who want dual citizenship of India and another country but because India doesn’t grant dual.citizenship, they have to make do with this. Which means, had India allowed dual citizenship, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Soni Razdan, Sunny Leone would have been legal “CITIZENS” of the Republic of India as well today.

Now these people.dont get to enjoy luxury in India for free. They do pay taxes in the OCI category and a generous amount of it.They are not ILLEGAL immigrants. So, in that regard they feel something isn’t right in the country that clothes , and feeds and gives them extreme luxuries, they MUST say. If they don’t, just like Ms Kaif, then they are being ungrateful and have a blatant sense of disregard for the country that has literally blessed them.(Ms Kaif must be keeping mum for fear of trolls and radical groups thriving in our country today), and if none of these should comment on the ghastly affairs of the country, then Mr. Akshay Kumar should also not be made to do social awareness campaigns like “Road Safety Call” or about “Quit Smoking “and “Hygienic Sanitary Napkins For Womenfolk”.Kindly have a.neutral stand on Overseas Citizens of India involving in matters of the country whether good or bad.

When Deepika Padukone was slut-shamed and told "Jo aurat chaar paiso ke liye naachti gaati ho, wo kya karegi Rani Padmini Ka kirdaar' by some rustic old man on the national television or when he told he would cut Ms Padukone's nose like that of Shoorpnakha, did the so called locals or "citizens" say anything at all? That old man should have slapped multiple times over national television or booked for gross misconduct. Nothing happened. If he being a citizen can talk , Soni Razdan can definitely talk.As for her interfering in the "democratic process of the country" , that has to be decided by the Government of India. Not some "locals" or over zealous "Citizens".

I tried and tried very hard but could not find anything wrong about the posters of MHK. The word “mental” is not offensive on its own. It is used as much as ‘crazy’. So let’s ban the song Crazy kiya re. The posters at the most shows two ppl flirting with the line of crazy. The kind of crazy that makes people BASE jump or do free climbing or things not expected by general populace. They may not necessarily be as impressive as the examples I gave. India relies too much on Bollywood to impart life lessons I guess. No one even knows what the movie is about. But prima facie, it seems ppl just want to be offended. Rangoli and Kangana perhaps chose wrong way to communicate. All this appears like diatribe but truth is we all know its an attempt to retaliate what has been happening to them behind the scenes by kjo and his minions.

The industry presently works in 2 ways either join forces with Kjo and be available for the support he asks for without questions or be ready to bite the dust.

Clearly a lot of BW stars made their choice. But general audience do not see this … every single fandom except for aloobir cry snake when it comes to Kjo. But they conveniently forget about snake when it comes to kangana… Kangana made a choice to fight Kjo in her own way…in a way she will be heard.

you may disgree with her format but u cannot possibly disagree with what she is aiming at.

Deepika has a problem with Kangana but she has no issues with KJO and Ranbir who constantly used her past interest in Ranbir as endorsement for Ranbir , releasing blinds, snatching movies etc. .. what does it tell about BW stars ?

When you associate woman’s dignity to shutting up and absorbing everything ofcourse kangana will come across as undignified. This is how BW creeps get away with harassing women by shaming them when they go public.

So what if an actress slept around to get roles ? does that mean she is never to let the world know of these creeps ? when someone is forced to make a choice does not mean she willingly did it .

Sleeping with a producer to get a role is not termed as WILLING . Its kind of in same lines as putting gun on ur head …or perhaps putting a gun on ur dream of being a movie star.

The posters of Mental Hai Kya are disturbing if the characters of Rajkummar and Kangana are shown as suffering from a psychological disorder. But that is not the case. If you read the interviews of Rajkummar Rao, Kangana, the writer (I am forgetting her name) Mental Hai Kya is the story of two people who do things which is considered by society as crazy, hence the movie’s title Mental Hai Kya. The movie is questioning society’s judgemental conformist attitude at labelling people “mental”/“crazy” whenever an individual does something which is against the norm. So how is that against the tenets of TLLL?? Trust me this is nothing but another way at trying to harass Kangana after she has been calling out openly at the powers of Bollywood (KJo, Alia, Ranbir etc). And I actually had so much respect for Deepika but after this nada. She has changed so completely from the Deepika Padukone who openly condemned the abhorrent Ranbir Kapoor for cheating or the Deepika Padukone who stood up to bullies when the press was having a field day posting derogatory articles at her RK tatoo, her numerous relationships etc. The Deepika Padukone of today seems like a fake, hypocritical woman with a forever plastic smile on her beautiful face. Can’t believe she would actually support a man like Ranbir Kapoor (after what he did to her) and his doormat Alia Bhatt by harassing Kangana through her TLLL foundation. And oh please Kangana called out Deepika earlier for the same reason she is calling out Alia. For being fake, hypocritical and pretending to be sweet in the face while trying to destroy Kangana.

“At least, not that he can remember” that’s the LAMEST response ever…most abusers say that as seen recently in MeToo, this is another of saying “yes I did it with aplomb”.

Or is it that Mahesh kept throwing chappals at stars and he doesnt remember whether one of those was Kangana, ROFL! He does seem bit weird mentally with weird fetishes, though a great thinker.

Anyway, Bhatt and Shabana Azmi (also Karni Sena) were the only lot I expected to take Kangana head-on, but VERY surprisingly they all kept mum, which shows they have more skeletons in their closet than what Kangana exposed. And the more they say anything, the more they will lose their left over reputation and work.

The rest of BW has got it by now that entire India is with Kangana coz till date she has not spoken a thing that has been proved incorrect by any of her abusers. Kjo THE man with all media machinery at his disposal fell flat on his face and has now given up public spat, and is now working behind the scenes to sabotage her anyhow. Previously Pancholis, Sumans, Roshans have eaten dust = enough example for BW. Probably only Varun Dhawan is the sane one who says he’s a Kangana fan but Kjo shut him up, he cant be Kangana and take Kjo head on, poor Varun has to oblige.

Kangana is today in a safe place and will continue to be till she keeps standing for truth. Truth cant ever be refuted, where will you produce fake evidence? Media is all for her. Audience is all standing by her.

BW doesnt have much option other than keeping mum and praying they arent next on her expose list. What to do, you cant buy Kangana unlike MeToo victims, she has suffered enough. You can’t threaten her with police cases, she has dealt with enough. You cant kill her spirit, the more machinery you use against her, the more she exposes you..and BW still has many grave things that havent been exposed to the public, as yet. You cant prove her incorrect since whatever she has said is true till now. She tried being good to others but never to boot lick them like Alia and other actresses, but BW just cant stand an outsider working her way to super stardom by keeping entire BW at the tip of her shoes. They hounded PC out aswell, when she tried to become too big for her shoes. Lastly, you cant threaten Kangana to be mum lest they will expose her secrets, coz there arent any..she already spoke about her life several times.

Fact of the matter as of today is – BW cant overcome Kangana, they can only hope to stay away from her path.

All outsiders would be sending their prayers and thank yous to Kangana in silence.

    Admin,

Kindly enlighten me on this one thing! How is that Rangoli , saying that , Mahesh Bhatt did not give a.break to Kangana? Gangster (2006) was produced by Vishesh Films. It was opened in 1986 and is still run by Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt and Vishesh Bhatt(Mukesh's son) . Mahesh Bhatt also did the story, joint screenplay along with Anurag Basu and.co-produced the movie. He only casted Shiny Ahuja for the same when Shiny went to.him . So, is it really possible that Mahesh Bhatt would not have supervised and.then okayed the casting of Kangana Ranaut 'cos he definitely in the capacity of a producer was the one to have paid her remuneration.for the movie ?! Anurag Basu has worked.under Mahesh Bhatt for a very famous serial called SWABHIMAAN way back in 1994 on Doordarshan , wherein Mahesh definitely did the casting. Even if Anurag Basu who is just the director of the.movie , chose Kangana, you really think she would have got the role finally if Mahesh Bhatt would have rejected casting her?? And if so, then Mahesh Bhatt's movie Gangster has really been a launchpad for Kangana who is successful today, in the Hindi Cinemas, so then, what's so wrong in claiming that especially when Rangoli.Chandel is speaking crass about Kangana's former mentor Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Alia? I have no problem with whatever Kangana spoke about Alia, but I have mammoth problem with what and how that Chandel spoke about Alia.
So what if she is holding British Citizenship? Isn't she still paying all her taxes even as foreign Indian resident? She debuted in movies and people liked her , (even though I find Kangana's acting and.personality much better than her) , accepted her.,made her a.hit, what's so wrong with all that? Rangoli Chandel or whatever should stop polarising people and the nation by unnecessarily dragging Alia and her mum's citizenship status...Whether these two can live in India or not will be decided by the honourable Govt of India, not idiots like Rangoli Chandel or Payal Rohatgi..

It’s like when Hiroo Johar or Gauri Khan is one of the producers of a film. Mahesh Bhatt retired before 2000. All he did since then was just like a silent member or a sitting producer. Prior to this, he worked as a director in so many films, sometimes as many as 4 films a year.

The Bhatts never really got involved in the casting of their films at that time. The only thing was that the movies were low-budget so they could only get newcomers to act in their films. That’s how their directors launched Bipasha, John, Dino and Kangana Ranaut. His brother, Mukesh had more to do with all that whereas Mahesh liked being in the public eye more. Mahesh is not Kangana’s mentor.

The actress has refused almost all the scripts the Bhatts have been giving her post the success of Gangster and Woh Lamhe, her last two films with the banner. But when Raaz 2 was narrated to her, she said, The script was so exciting that I had to do it. And contrary to what you might believe, I am not acting opposite Emraan Hashmi.

Talking about the producers, how come Bhatts raised their bars for Kangana? “They have now realised that Kangana is important for them. In case of Kangana, they have made an exception, explains trade source. But why are the Bhatts not willing to pay more as compared to other banners in Bollywood. What is their business model of film making? The source explains, The Bhatts always work on a small film budgets. They are known to launch new talent. John, Bipasha, Mallika, Kangana, Emraan, Shiney have all started their careers with the Bhatts.- Economic Times 2008

“So what if she is holding British Citizen? Isn’t she still paying all her taxes even as a foreign Indian Resident?”

Tell that to the thousands of H1B, L1 and other legal Indian and Chinese origin residents in the USA, who after decades of law-abiding, tax paying, nation building contribution to the United States are being sent back while on the path to American Citizenship.

Tell that to the millions who will lose their European resident immigrant status in the UK/Britain after Brexit.

I guarantee it, that if any of these actually said that they have rights because they pay taxes, they would be turned out on their ear, and laughed out of the country. There’s no country, I repeat, no country that will allow non-citizens to interfere in its matters. You are not more entitled to work in a country where you are not a citizen, than the citizen himself/herself. If you are, and you are getting better opportunities (especially through nepotism) than locals, than its a privilege, and be thankful for it. Don’t you ever use that privilege to ride slip-shod over a much more talented local.

Now, I dare you, Soni Razdan, and Kjo to publicly decry these policies against immigrants from developing countries, and tell the UK and the US that these people have the same rights as their citizens. I also dare you to actually get an Indian Citizenship.

You have brought out some very very relevant points about the whole citizenship matter. Awesome. But my point was not about Alia Bhatt and Soni Razdan’s citizenship per se. Soni Razdan tweeted a particular incident and Rangoli Chandel and many the likes of her dragged her citizenship status into another primary matter , and misused words like provoking and what-not for what she tweeted. If non residents are NOT supposed to tweet or speak their mind then let’s cut the root of this entirely, and clip their freedom of speech in our great country. And if they speak despite this, you can then hold them accountable.

I totally agree with you that we should cultivate and harness our talents very much in our great country and not reap benefits of foreign soil. 4 out of every 10 scientists @ NASA are Indians and it would be beautiful if they were here at VSSC or ISRO or such relevant organisations in India. I too always wonder the non residents like Alia , Akshay Kumar and many more that when they earn name, fame ,glory and their livelihood from here, why have citizenship of some other country?! But my primary concern was why bring their citizenship status in the middle of another important matter and shroud it’s efficacy by mentioning the citizenship ? Citizen or no citizen, Soni Razdan did mention what happened.
As for being a citizen or a local, talent or no talent just because Rangoli or Payal Rohatgi are citizens as much as we all are , doesn’t mean she will use any nonsensical language, right?! And if she didn’t agree with Soni Razdan or anybody’s opinion for that matter, Rangoli Chandel or whoever could have stated their opinion of the matter publicly independently. Do these people have to make others believe their statement by having to resort to Soni Razdan’s citizenship status or personal life? Do they not have enough confidence in their own singular opinion and inform others about it without having to depend on the third person’s citizenship status ? What if a citizen of India would have made a.similar tweet like Soni Razdan? What would Rangoli Chandel and etc do then? Altogether falsify or deny the speaker in question’s citizenship status itself?
One must have conviction in one’s own words rather than having to drive their point home by relating to another’s details. Just saying.

Tina it is so rare that I disagree with something you say..!

There are people – in the media, activists, lawyers amongst others – fighting for the rights of Europeans and Caribbean descendants of the Windrush generation in the UK. Just like there were lawyers who camped out in airports across the US to provide pro bono advice to Muslims who were being turned away in the wake of the Trump ban.

What if there’s a National Citizen Register opened up across the country tomorrow and someone you know, maybe the maidservant who cleans your house or the thelawala who sells sabzi on your street gets struck off. What happens to them, where do they go? Or do they get detained indefinitely in camps like some have been in Assam…

Yes countries around the world are weaponising identities and vilifying immigrants…doesn’t make it right tho… I myself have been told I shouldn’t express my opinion on Indian politics anymore cos I don’t live there anymore I have no right …but I’ll be damned if I let that shut me up 🙂

LK, I am not supporting these policies against immigrants. Hard working, law abiding immigrants of any class should have a safe path to citizenship.

But I am not okay with anyone treating citizenship (whether American or Indian), so lightly. Citizenship comes with the responsibilities of voting, fighting in wars even, and questioning your government at great risk to your own self. It’s a legacy from those who fought for its freedom, in this case, precisely from the British.

If Soni was ever caught on the wrong legal foot, will she invoke the protections of her British citizenship, or her Indian residency?

One should claim the rights to fair treatment but not to all the rights of citizenship. Or even worse, creating unfair situations for citizens. A non-citizen cannot have more privilege than a citizen when it comes to work opportunities. This is what Alia is doing with Kangana, Tapsee, and Deepika.

A non-citizen does not have a right to interfere in a country’s democratic process. Just think, even the most liberal, immigration supporting Americans think Russians had no right to interfere in their Elections. And what are the Russians accused of? Creating and propagating news, narratives and stories that are said to have influenced Americans way of thinking and voting in the elections. This is exactly what Soni is doing.

You know, it’s not like other non-citizens are (or were) not doing well in Bollywood. Katrina for one. Ali Zafar until the issue with terrorism. But they were cognizant enough to recognize the privilege that they received. But the Bhatt’s, my god, their sense of entitlement is beyond belief.

Tina …it’s interesting you think that… my own position as an immigrant and NRI makes me disagree…

For eg I was not a british citizen in 2016 but I shared news and commentary on social media supporting the Remain campaign because that affected my self interest. I don’t see anything wrong in that.

Now in the coming Indian election I will not be able to vote. But I have shared news stories about the Dadri lynching accused being given a front row seat at a bjp rally. Should I not have? What about foreign journalists? The NYT wrote a piece about Gauri Lankesh which was very critical of the govt – are they guilty of trying to interfere with our democratic process?

If your argument is based on the fact Soni’s family has links to terrorism and so she doesn’t have a leg to stand on, I will agree with you. But just because she’s a british woman settled in India doesn’t mean she cannot criticise the govt. The Russians were suspected of breaking laws – hacking into voter registration databases and illegally financing trumps campaign. I don’t see the two as being equivalent.

Similarly Alia should be criticised for using connections/Dharma’s money to get a role despite the director originally wanting someone else for it. But saying it’s wrong because she’s a “foreigner stealing Indian jobs” is problematic- a) then you should be calling for all immigration to be banned b) technically I’m guessing she is an OCI and they are allowed to work in India.

To be honest, I liked Kangana Ranaut from her debut movie itself. Her acting , her personality everything. Even though she isn’t my favourite but I enjoy her movies. I totally prefer her over Alia Bhatt and I personally don’t find Alia’s performances that commendable. Also , whatever Kangana has said so far, I didn’t find anything wrong with that. It’s her sister that I find offensive. I have been a regular here @ OSOP for a long time now and enjoy reading the blinds but I simply could not hold myself back after Rangoli Chandel’s mindless vile , vitriolicvitri after rant. There is a humane way of saying things also. Do you always have to spew venom ?

Nepotism should not even exist. But the harsh reality is , it does in every sector across the globe. People like Alia , and.many more who I find are not half as good an entertainer as people like Kangana are get opportunities to prove their worth several times. But it is not their fault that they were born into famous filmy families. If they get good launchpads, amazing headstart , won’t they or anybody use the opportunity bestowed upon them? Or would pass it on to the next person on a platter. Will their benefactor like Karan Johar and etc let it happen? It is us , public and audience who should encourage people with talent by watching, liking or disliking their movies. We have the power.

Karan Johar and peoplep like him always select their filming cast based on nepotism.and convenience. Good directors should cast newer talent, make new permutrionspeand combinations of different actors never seen before together ,and not just keep casting the same lead pair again and again. They should have better judgement and sense themselves to do it. We should not be writing articles to bring all this to their notice.
There were criminal charges pressed against Rahul Bhatt and was even apprehended for it.It is an undeniable fact. Who says otherwise? Bhatt’s are quiet about all this because he is one of them.
Don’t even get me started on Sadhvi Pragya’s senseless remark on a great martyr like Hemant Karkare. Completely harsh and insensitive. The relevant authorities should take.her.to task but unfortunately…sigh!!

Also, please do let us know K-Jo and the Bhatt family’s opinion on Mahesh Bhatt’s son helping Headley recce Bombay and identifying the locations to bomb and attack, prior to the July 26, 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai. 166 people, including Indian and British were killed there, weren’t they?

Today, when the Sadhvi woman denigrates Officer Karkare who died in the attacks, Bollywood denizens like Pooja/ Soni/Swara call her a traitor, and that’s fair enough, and I personally agree with that opinion. But, why do they hold such radio silence on the Bhatt family member’s role in Karkare’s death? They dish out so much opinion and advice to the likes of Kangana, where was that advice when it came to their son?

Where was that advice about better behavior when Hrithik tried to portray Kangana as deranged person who needs to be institutionalized? Can you imagine the horror of a bunch of powerful people ganging up to potray you as mentally imbalanced person and asking for you to be locked away and administered pyschotic drugs? The utter inhumane-ness of that?

You have brought up so many points that I am having difficulty in keeping up with you all in one concise reply. Hence answers in parts.
Hrithik Roshan definitely had an affair with Kangana just like he had something with Kareena Kapoor in the beginning of his marriage to Suzanne and then with Barbara Mori during Kites. Kangana might have the habit of running off at the mouth all too often, but surely she could not have just conjured such wild stories about her affair with Hrithik? He got rattled because she brought it out in the open and that did affect his reputation. When he had married Suzanne Khan, he had said such nice romantic things about her and made it look like an idyllic relationship.

Did u say DAVID HEADLY ??? This is a good question for those in this forum who keep saying India’s secularism and freedom of speech is dead only since recently ….

Rahul Bhatt aided mumbai attacks …his family is voicing away and actually trying to educate us who to elect while the family is sheltering a criminal who aided terrorist attacks. Forget about their citizenship …the bhatts themselves are criminals.

I guess freedom of speech isnt dead . There are people in this forum who question Kangana on her political stand and is mocked , film stars meeting democratically elected PM is mocked

but, no one questions Mahesh Bhatt on how he raised a son who was willing participant in mumbai attacks while spewing away how bad this country is and who we should elect.

These ppl also lecture on women empowerment while throwing chappals on a woman , they educate us on sensitivity towards metal health issues while making movies on a paramour without her consent …by stealing her diary.

Yes, Clearly these are the people we need to learn from…on what is wrong with the country.

Did you know that Tapsee Pannu’s Badla is a superhit? No??? Found out from Taran Adarsh’s tweet. There is zero buzz on this from the media. Why??? See what happens to non-nepo good girls who have major potential but don’t belong to the right gang?? They are slowly and steadily iced out to oblivion by nepo gangs and their paid media. At some point people will stop signing TP. That’s how her career will end.

I don’t always agree with KR’s offensive strategies. But one thing is for sure: The reason why KR is constantly yelling, fighting and playing on the offense has more to do with marking her existence in this industry than anything else. It is telling everyone that she exists by fighting with people who are constantly on the media. Very simple. Nothing is worse than being iced out. Nobody will talk about her talent, her movies’ successes, the sabotaging attempts on her movies if she doesn’t do it herself, and she knows that very well.

Dumb Alia (who doesn’t have double digit IQ to carry out a any intelligent conversation with anyone without being coached) announces that she won’t respond to KR anymore. So now, the private icing out of nepo-gang has officially become public. Let’s see what happens next!

In this one topic alone, we’ll always have opposing stands admin. I just can’t agree with the “I’m with Kangana no matter what she does stand”‘.

I don’t know about kebab jo, he probably does shit and these sisters take it all out. I’m not ruling out that possibility. He’s equally evil.

But why conclude she’s right totally. The mental hai kya film is suddenly getting brickbats bz of their insensitive posters. It’s disturbing and insensitive, there’s no two way about it. Initial ones looked stupid but the current one is disturbing and sending out wrong signals.

And as far as I know Psychiatric board or something has called out it too. True, perhaps the film is working against breaking the stereotypes with their content. We’ll only know when the film release. But the poster is not right. Karan was dragged for every wrong material of Kalank, how Madhuri was tainted, period drama was tainted. Same will happen with Kangana too if she goes wrong. No one escapes social media wrath at least.

And even if a foundation called it out, which includes, mind you doctors and other experts, how is it wrong. If they’re doing the right thing with the film, the team can give a decent explanation, get their posters modified, be careful of their material. ESPECIALLY if they’re claiming they’re trying to work for the cause with the film.

And also you must have come across the open letter from a patient/girl who suffered from mental trauma about the posters.

In no ways is it justifiable how Rangoli is making personal attacks and ignorant remarks on Depression and stuff. Just bz it’s about an actress, it doesn’t mean it’s ok. Deepika is also a survivor who perhaps might still have the trigger button within her. Such a low act, yet that also get applauded by this site. Also, just because she’s the founder, she should be attacked?

And the objection was to the insensitive posters, not to the actress and it was subjected to the film as whole. The film’s team could’ve responded. I’m sure they’ll have to to the psychiatric board.

    Such a shame.

It’s not more about whether kangana is right or not,but the timing and use of the foundation to do PR related attacks.
Two years back an actress from the same fraternity was accused of being schizophrenic, has Aspergers, witch, blood magic,is a psychopath, whore and What not.but these organisations didn’t say a single word as how it is not right to use mental illness to shame someone.TLLL foundation existed even then, they could have not supported kangana but should have raised their voice against using these terms so casually.which they didn’t.even now their main focus in the tweet wasn’t the harmful imagery but rather the title.the title which has been advertised for one year but they only took offence when it got registered and the film is about to release.perfectly timed like the Karni Sena.

The foundation cannot use the excuse of “oh we didn’t know, and it came to our attention just now”.that way kalank should also be banned.if you can feel targeted if someone calls you “mental hai kya” it’s equally disturbing if someone refers to you as “kalank”.that way the foundation should be taking offence to a lot of titles.as for the self harm imagery shown in the posters,it boils down to in what context has it been shown in the film.its same as showing a person smoking, you could say glamourising smoking has a bad effect on the population.but the other side of the argument is people should be wise enough to know what’s harmful and what is not.and not look at films as lessons in morality and values.

Like gulzar said, cinema is merely a reflection of society

“Cinema is not Bible writing. It doesn’t teach you morals, good values to live. Cinema is not meant for that. If you’re looking at cinema that it’ll tell you good values then you’re mistaken. It’s not Bible” he added.”

It’s not about being with Kangana or not. It’s like, she is fighting her fight and is not even asking anyone for support. If tomorrow, someone has wronged you and you come and tell us, you are standing up to these people and not letting them bully you, we will still be like: Go for it 😎. There is nothing wrong in standing up against bullies. No one has ever done this in Bollywood, at least none of the top actresses. The last time a relevant actress stood up to her bully was Aishwarya and that was a big bully (pun intended), who is still bullying people.

      • Ananya says:

Admin, I’ve already replied to that. I’m not against Kangana for doing the right things, and I’m not for her too when she does the wrong things. It’s that simple.

I never said she shouldn’t give it back to bullies. In fact I’ve, always supported her until Manikarnika. Pancholi, Suman, Hrithik, Apurva I’ve supported her side and applauded her courage to stand up. But like I explained last time too, Hansal Mehta turning against her and some information I got about Simran from a media friend and how everything worked around Manikarnika, I just don’t support her bullying anyone too.

And the only point of my comment is how you’re also pushing the narrative of Rangoli and saying the attack on Mental Hai Kya is also bullying. Chalo, let’s agree with that perspective too. Maybe Kjo dig up things and hence Psychiatric board is also questioning. So? If the film is dealing with the subject sensitively there’s nothing for them to get riled up. And now TLLL foundation which works for mental health is also Deepika’s PR or her pov? Give me a break. It’s a firm handled by experts.

And yes I myself was agitated seeing the posters. No one is asking to ban the film or being Karni Sena here. The posters are insensitive, they have to rework it or give a suitable explanation for why it is designed so. Which they’ll ultimately give to the board I’m sure.

That said, yes I’ve always admired this site for being non biased. I know you’re called prs of many. I’m making no such accusation but yes since you claim authenticity, stand by it. Recently your posts on Kangana are misleading. Applaud her for standing up but don’t cover up when she and her team goes wrong.

Someone who has a similar background is Kat, whose suffered a lot. AndI I saw you commenting below saying if she comes out tomorrow she also deserves support. But sadly I’ve, always seen you being harsh on her in the briefs on her blinds. Never empathetic like you’re to Kangana.

You clearly didn’t mention how the board has issued statement against the posters but about TLLL. You quoted Apura tweets during Manikarnika issue but despite going to his page and checking his tweets, you ignored/ didn’t post the screenshot he shared of Hansal speaking against Kangana cryptically. For Manikarnika row, you posted a long post of how male actors have done the same but when Kangana is called out, it’s about her gender. It is NOT. Kjo might be using that but still if she does wrong, she is wrong too. Taare Zameen Par is a black mark on Aamir bz public got to know. It is the same for Kangana. It’s about right and wrong not male and female.

Otherwise if tomorrow Kangana kills a raindeer or run car over footpath are we going to say Salman also did it but Kangana is being called out b.s. of her gender and bullying? If she becomes accused like Alok Naath, in a Me Too case, are we going to say Alok Nath also did it, so we shouldn’t question Kangana b.s. it’s used to malign her? It’s a two way road and whoever does shit needs to be called out. At least by an authentic site. I wouldn’t expect that from pinkvilla. And you’re not such a site. Keep your integrity please.

@Lucy, I don’t follow TLLL regularly but even back in time they’ve raised such concerns about certain films or remarks. Maybe some Deepika fan here can quote examples. I saw a tweet about such examples yesterday on twitter. And I’m sharing this article for you, to understand why any organisation that works for mental health and any person with sense will object to the posters. Do read.

        https://fit.thequint.com/mind-it/mental-hai-kya-movie-problematic-portrayal-of-mental-illness

It’s not just TLL, anyone who has touch with the reality of mental illness will oppose to the posters, until the actual content of the film comes through. If that is fine no one will make an issue. The title and the initial posters were ignored b.s. its Bollywood you can’t expect better portrayal. I’m talking about myself here but yes the recent one with the blade is triggering and disturbing. The opposition is against it, don’t make it as it’s against Kangana and Deepika = TLLL and divert attention from the actual problem. The matter is above such petty things.

Lol I really have to laugh. A person puts out their vulnerable best and not just TALK but do something about it, spending their money, taking time out, getting professionals to the table to assist where needed, but yes let’s assume someone who does things as doing for image.

Sure some celebs do that and let’s assume Deepika also does that. I’ve seen PC also being mudslinged saying whatever she does under Unicef is for publicity. Ok let’s agree to both these arguments. Yet they are going out there, doing something for someone with their money, time. They both have ruthless PR which can get them image, name, contracts by not doing all these stuff too. But still if they’re taking a leap ahead I’d like to see the positive side.

My friend’s cousin herself received help via Tlll. So yes I’d rather believe her good experience than some people’s negative assumptions. Even few weeks ago Anisha Padukone and Ranveer Singh along with Deepika and Anna Chandy was in Delhi for a session with acid attack survivors under the NGO which Laxmi works for. Ok Deepika has image to gain, maybe Ranveer too. And you might also say it’s for publicity for her new film. Agreed. But what has Anisha to gain from it? If it’s just for her sister’s PR, she doesn’t have to take time out of her schedule, whether it’s work or her leisure time for that. Now before you tell me she went there to spent time with her sister, literally at most of the TLLL event Anisha or Deepika’s mother has been present. Go ahead and call all of them her PR.

And no, it’s not just Deepika, but literally every other actor and actress have strong and nasty prs. Just that their claws come out when they are at the bottom rung and need to come up or when competition is tight. Honestly that’s what they’re paid for. It’s a corporate set up, not an NGO.

That said, despite all these allegations against Deepika and TLLL, even if you’re right about it, still my point remains the same. Don’t divert attention from the real issue here.

The posters of Mental Hai Kya are insensitive to it’s theme and disturbing. Since they claim it’s not just a fun film but an attempt to revive the perception around mental illness or break stereotypes, posters are sending wrong message. Just like the article I shared, it’s a legitimate concern which is raised by Psychiatric society first, not just Tlll. Why don’t we focus on that as well?! Why not go ahead and call Psychiatric society response also as someone’s PR?!

And the way Rangoli is handling this issue, mocking the depression another survivor had, not giving out a sensible response as the PR Manager of Kangana, she just shows evidently that they don’t care about the theme AT ALL.

And for all of Kangana nepotism talk, she having Rangoli as her PR Mangager, who clearly is talking as an individual persona or Kangana’s sister and not like a professional, clearly shows she doesn’t know even the basics of public relations. In short, she’s not fit for the post she’s in, and it’s actually the same as Karan giving his minions who can’t act job bz of connections.

And the way Kangana spoke about Mishti during Manikarnika controversy just shows she’s a bully herself. Her excuse was her parts were also cut in past and she is the director so she can cut. Okay, point accepted. But who is she to say what’s her aukaad or talk about her talent, just bz Mishti is not an A list actress or hasn’t won NA. when Kangana was doing films like Rascals etc no one considered her big deal too. But that doesn’t mean she isn’t talented or will not rise right?!

I’m sure you know of the actress abduction case of Mollywood. That actress started of as second lead. I remember one of her interviews where she said, when I did second leads initially, I had bad experiences. Lead actresses would just walk over you or see through you. So she made sure when she got lead roles, she treat her colleagues with respect. THAT’S CHARACTER.

I’ve been a Kangana supporter and I regret it today. I’m not asking anyone to feel the same. Lucy you can chose to have your opinion about people, I’ll have mine too. My comment was mainly towards Admin. If he/she spoke about her personal support to Kangana in the comment section I understand. But since this is a site known for authenticity and unbiased stands, in the briefs there needs to be a balance. Like I said the empathy I’ve seen only towards Kangana, though Kat and many other ladies come in the same bracket. So that’s about it.

I’m not engaging on this anymore. I’ve decided to ignore posts on Kangana here bz Admin is clearly biased and as long as that goes on, it’s better to avoid.

Hahaha It was an obvious jibe at Deepika, I remember reading that article and thinking the same.

Deepika has got a lot of love from her fans and accolades from the industry. Her life seems to be set with Ranveer and their families as her backbone, she cant be bothered by Alia or Kangana.

Kangana is an amazing actress who has proven time without number that she wont bow down to patriarchy, she wont bow down to the powers that be and she will not be blackmailed into shutting up. I’m sure the reason she seems like shes going off so many people is because this is the only way for her to go about it, in a world, where you are painted as ‘crazy’, ‘difficult’ or ‘shameless’ if you try to defy status quo. Kangana has my respect for still keeping her head up.

      Meanwhile Avengers Endgaaaaaame!

if he was not on the wrong side, then he would have denied immediately.
This means he is now lying. brahmastra release date has been postponed.
failure of kalank has now affected them. they will move earth and sky
to kick out kangana from bollywood, this seems to be thier only aim
as of now. instead of making soty2 a potential successful movie,
Energy is getting wasted in wrong direction.Mb should
have not joined kjo’s pathetic world.

Mahesh did throw the slipper at her. It was big news then – pls check it out. Even now in bootlicker SKJ’s site the ‘source’ says ‘not that he remembers..’. Why doesnt MB categorically deny any such thing happened rather than this meek defense? Case closed

Being suspecting for a while now that this site was created by Kangana and her PR. All that story about this site being run by Deepika’s PR was just a stunt to get people interested in this site as Deepika has lots of fans and haters. Well done.

All this write-ups just to portray Kangana as an innocent victim. Please, stop it.

Everyone from Nagin-Jo to Kangana have their own agenda.

The fact is, nobody in Bollywood is innocent. NOBODY. For you to get ANY kind of fame in the sick world of Bollywood, you have to sacrifice something. Even if you didn’t do anything but you know those who do and you keep silent about it because you mind your business, you’re guilty.

The audience should stop caring about the personal lives of these people and focus on their own lives and money.

    • Mental hai kya poster is offensive says:

I knew somehow @admin is going to bring up TLLL foundation and that tweet here!. That title is offensive and the poster even more.
Nobody is saying ban the film, they are asking to treat mental health issues more carefully. And that is correct.
It is not even against Kangana, why are all kangana fans including @admin are attacking Deepika?. The tweet was asking the makers to rethink the poster! I am pretty sure kangana was not part of choosing the title or the poster!!.

Exactly, some overtly intellectual people should focus on their personal lives and money and not come on gossip sites if they are not interested in gossip.maybe devote the same time to more useful online activities.

Thanks Admin for this post and for your reply. Kangana is not perfect for sure, and that is okay because she is human. She might’ve made some mistakes or believed/trust the wrong people. The sisters may even be socially awkward and can’t maintain relationships for industry convenience. But that doesn’t mean it’s ok to try and pull her movie down, Have industry wide boycotts, do paid for interviews of nobodies, lower BO collections/no updates from second week, etc. all in efforts to kick her out.

What she and her sister are doing is good. Alia is the easier target of nepogang, to get KJo to come out in the open and fight them. The nepogang is driving everyone up a wall. KJo is acting like a mafia lord controlling everything from relationships, critics, tabloids, tv, awards, social media, box office, exhibitors, you name it. Outside of KJo it is all the sexism. Women are treated like second hand citizens, abuse, used, misused. The ones who succeed survive the torture but most go away without a trace, Kangana also would’ve been gone from Bollywood had it not been for Queen. She was setting up a new career as an independent film maker in the USA. These are facts anyone can go check on. I am sorry she drags your favorites but it has to be said.

Don’t try to use Aditya the rapist criminal against her. It was 17 years ago! She got with him and broke it off even before her debut. They are witnesses to her abuse too, seeing her dragged by her hair bare foot from a rickshaw to his car. The police complaint. It’s all there. What else is she suppose to have done? So much metoo talks and upbringing talks but who even talks about Jiah or the many other industry girls who died under suspicious circumstances? Now Kangana is actually fighting for her career and you people are upset? What Sickness do you suffer?

Deepika shouldn’t let her foundation play censorship board. Esply knowing the movie title and posters were released last year when movie was announced. Posters released before the film shooting btw. Jumping to conclusions about the film, when actors like Kangana, RajKumar are involved and a writer like Kanika Dhillon. Who are they to judge them as irresponsible to society?

    • The original hmmm says:

I have not commented in ages but feel compelled to. @Hmmm first of all you hijacked my original name, second of all if you have been following OSOP for as long as I have you would know that admin is not pr of anyone. The irony is that admin got accused of being Deepika’s pr and now kangana. For those of you who don’t like Kangana that’s fine it is your opinion but to personally attack other users simply for defending Kangana is ridiculous. Yes Kangana has problems but she /her sister say things out loud unlike other actors/actresses who hide behind PR leaking stories about rivals and pretending to be nice to each other but backstabbing when they get a chance. It seems there was an effort to bring down Kangana and she and her sister are fighting back. It is a big risk because she will be isolated if her movies flop. But kudos to her for standing up against Kjo and friends who think only their opinions are to be heard and that too via blinds and gossip. The misogyny and hypocrisy towards strong women of Bollywood is scary.
