Katrina Kaif’s Barbie Dream autobiography is not happening

As you all know and were discussing last week, Katrina Kaif said that she wanted to share her unique story and was ready to release her autobiography. She even mentioned that she is going to title it as ‘Barbie Dreams’. She sounded really serious about it and since it has been autobiography season for the last two years, it wasn’t that hard to believe that ‘Barbie Dreams’ is really going to happen. It must have been that she let out this news to see the reaction and when the reaction came back negative, she backtracked on her comments.

It is very strange, indeed. On one hand, we do think that she might have been testing how the public will react to this news while on the other hand, there’s a huge possibility that someone made a cruel joke on her by declaring that she will be releasing her autobiography soon and that it will be called Barbie Dreams.

Here’s the original announcement:

When we checked online, it seems that a range of reputed websites picked up the story from Mid Day and shared their version of it without confirming with Katrina’s people first.

What made all of this sound fishy is the fact that Katrina will be talking about ‘Boom’ in her book and how she has come so far from it. The thing is, Kat has distanced herself from the film since she met Salman Khan. He even tried to stop the film from releasing. He did, in fact, tried to stop an uncensored of the film from releasing.

Everyone knows that Kat pretends that ‘Boom’ never happened. She probably dreaded when Tiger Shroff became famous because the media was most likely going to give his mother the platform to talk about where Kat came from. Actually, that didn’t happen but his mom did talk about Katrina before Tiger made his debut. After Tiger’s successful debut, she doesn’t bother herself with Katrina’s name drop anymore. As you know, Tiger’s mom Ayesha Shroff produced the film and it was the same film that bankrupted the Shroff family.

Fun fact about ‘Boom’: Amitabh Bachchan was asked why he did the film by a magazine. Maybe it was Filmfare magazine or some other magazine. It was after the film released and flopped. He said that he saw a picture of the three beautiful girls in the film and said yes. Don’t know whether he was joking or being serious, but we do remember that there were pictures of the girls together that were published because the director was still looking for senior actors to be part of this film. It was probably this picture:

Back to the story on hand. A few days after the original news article, Katrina’s friend went to DNA to slam down the reports of an upcoming autobiography. By Katrina’s friend, we are sure they meant Katrina herself because the text below sounds like she is really pissed off!

Soon after, all the other websites picked the denial and ran with it. Based on what she has to say, it does sound like someone played a cruel joke on her. Katrina has said, over the past few years, that she has no interest to write her story or to let people make a movie about her story. We all know how her story is complicated and it’s probably why she would not want sensitive details about her life be out there. Forget her autobiography, she herself is quite a private person and does not let anything personal out. It could be that she just said one thing and someone else decided to take advantage of that and roll with a lie.

You know what? We remember when news of her being the first Barbie doll came out, she had Ayan Mukherjee speak on her behalf to the papers. He shared his thoughts on why Katrina is so popular and why the Barbie people decided to choose her as the face of the Indian Barbie. The irony of all things! Little did she know that Ayan would have an important role in her life, aside from being his BFF’s pimp .
