Katrina Kaif Speaks on Ranbir Kapoor, Mumbai Attacks, Kabir Khan, Rekha, Salman Khan, Fitoor, Jagga Jasoos, Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor

Whenever the movies of film stars are about to release, they try to think of interesting things or comments to give out so that the public will somehow be interested in watching their films. The same goes for Katrina Kaif, she somehow only opens up when her movies are about to release. Everything that she lets out of her mouth depends on whether she thinks the movie will work or not. Meaning that if she lets a lot out, it could be that she’s not confident about the film and if she doesn’t, then she’s every confident that the film will be a hit at the box office. The film in question is ‘Phantom’, which is directed by Kabir Khan and also stars Saif Ali Khan. Today, Katrina gave an interview to Mumbai Mirror in which she spoke about Ranbir Kapoor, Kabir Khan, Salman Khan, Phantom and Fitoor. Katrina seems to mother Ranbir in the public when her movie is releasing. It’s almost like she wants to remind everyone how talented Ranbir is and how much he loves cinema. Also on her agenda during interviews is how she will praise the Ranbir’s parents, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor. She always makes it a point to mention how she and Rishi got along during the making of ‘Namaste London’, a film in which he played her dad.

Katrina Kaif Interview

Katrina Kaif on Living with Ranbir Kapoor

I don’t discuss where I live or with whom. But I can tell you that we’re not engaged and no date has been set for the marriage yet. I’ll not lie about this, ever. When it happens, the world will know.

Katrina Kaif on Kabir Khan

Kabir is the first real friend I made here. I’d love to be in every film he makes. Right now, he’s working on the script. If there’s something new, he’ll call, if he feels we’re getting repetitive, he’ll go to someone else.

Katrina Kaif on Salman Khan

Ek Tha Tiger portrayed him very differently and Bajrangi Bhaijaan reflects Kabir’s style of filmmaking too. Salman’s outstanding and so much fun. With the childlike quality of the Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam days.

Katrina Kaif on Rekha walking out of ‘Fitoor’

It’s sad, she’s a beautiful lady and a fabulous actress but every film has its own destiny.

Katrina Kaif on Fitoor

What’s not meant to be won’t happen. It wasn’t my decision. All I can is that it’s a story I fell in love with, my co-star Aditya (Roy Kapoor) is a sweetheart and Gattu’s (Abhishek Kapoor) is a director open to suggestions, but as soon as something rings false, he rings the bell. I’ve enjoyed making the film.

Katrina Kaif on Jagga Jasoos

We’ve not been shooting fast enough even though we’ve wrapped up three schedules. Since both, Ranbir and I had other commitments, we can only shoot Jagga Jasoos between breaks in our schedule.

Katrina Kaif on Tamasha and Imtiaz Ali

I’m a big fan of Imtiaz Ali and am confident he won’t make a bad film. He’s passionate about cinema and so is Ranbir.

Katrina Kaif on Bombay Velvet’s Failure’s Effect on Ranbir Kapoor

I won’t speak for Ranbir but I believe that as long as you follow you heart and give you best, you can sleep peacefully. Sure, if a film doesn’t work, any actor is hurt but unless you take a fall how will you grow stronger and better.

Katrina Kaif on Rishi Kapoor

I’ve had a soft spot for Rishiji, since Namaste London. He’s a gracious, live-and-let-live man who won’t tell anyone what to do. He’s also fearless, speaks his mind and won’t shy away from a battles. He’s good for Twitter.

Katrina Kaif on her relationship with Neetu Kapoor

The Kapoors are an amazing family. Everyone I’ve met is beautiful, intelligent, well-read and an amazing artiste. That applies to her too, she’s part of the family.

Katrina Kaif on Neetu Kapoor Cutting her out of a Picture she posted on Instagram

I was on a reality show recently with Shahid (Kapoor) and Saif and in a pictures Saif was cropped out. I don’t think anyone does this intentionally. I don’t surround myself with such gossip.

Katrina Kaif on Love

Love is complex. Life is a journey of highs and lows, understanding what makes you happy and what works for you. Love is an important aspect.

Katrina Kaif on Salman Khan saying he will attend her Wedding

Whenever either of us gets married, the other person will be there. But we’re jumping the gun again.
