Katrina Kaif on her breakup with Ranbir Kapoor and how much she’s willing to do to commit in a relationship

You would think that since Ranbir Kapoor has been going around town trying to clean up his image, Katrina Kaif will be left behind? No way. She’s catching fast and we are hoping to hear more from her in the coming days. Did we say “her”? We meant, her PR people. You see, Katrina maintains a dignify stand when she speaks herself, but as far as her PR people are concerned, they let out the true Katrina, what she thinks and all that. They are absolutely not diplomatic unlike the image of Katrina Kaif in public. The media know by now how she is, so they know exactly how to ask the right questions. Since Katrina is promoting ‘Baar Baar Dekho’, she will be out and about a lot now that she’s back from her U.S. tour. Apparently, Ranbir and Katrina broke up during the making of ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ and here she is talking about whether or not it was difficult to come to work during that time.

    Katrina Kaif Interview

Katrina Kaif on her breakup with Ranbir Kapoor and how much she's willing to do to commit in a relationship

Katrina Kaif on shooting ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ during her difficult breakup

I think everyone needs to separate personal and professional lives. A lot can be said on this. A lot of people could understand what I would say if I was to say. Having said that, I have taken the decision and I have stood by that, to not talk on this topic. And I feel that is right.

Katrina on why she wouldn’t comment even when Ranbir has already spoke about it

You take every moment in life as it comes. Every time someone asks me this question, I understand that it is out of care and concern. I respect that but I still don’t choose to comment.

Katrina on whether men are more commitment phobic than women

I choose to take the stand that it isn’t gender thing but a person thing. I know many women who don’t want to settle down and I also know many men who wouldn’t want to get married. If I have to generalize then I like to believe that women are more inclined towards the family. And towards attachment and protection. Most women are like that. But if you ask me personally, then I would want both (career and marriage).

Katrina on whether she will stop acting when she gets married

Absolutely, if I want to, yes. Not being forced or coerced, but if I felt then absolutely. And I believe that every woman should follow her instinct.

Katrina on whether she is commitment phobic

Am I considered in this generation? If yes then let me tell you I am not commitment phobic.

Katrina on how she deals with her professional life during her breakup

Being an actor is quite a luxurious job, we have staff and we are treated specially. But if I worked in say, an office or if I had a normal job, you are still going to go to work. You are still going to be required to do your job, but you are still feeling it in your heart, right?

Katrina on the pressure of the media’s focus in her personal life

You know, in some way all the attention is a good thing. It forces you to step up. It forces you not to indulge in self pity and feeling sorry for yourself. It forces you to get yourself together and stand up quicker because you want to show your best face to the world.

Katrina on how getting her life back together is a challenge to her

You can have your moments where you cannot be any lower and things cannot be tougher, but I take it as a challenge, and that’s what you have to do.

    1. That was the most honest interview, Katrina has given. Rather than being diplomatic and politically correct.
