Karan Johar is responsible for Katrina Kaif’s Instagram Account

We are sure many of you have been wondering how in the hell did the super-private Katrina Kaif decide to join Instagram? Well, as it turned out, it was Karan Johar, who told Katrina to join Instagram to make herself available to her millions of fans. But as usual Karan had a different way to put it, he just told Kat that she will have to drop everything and move back to the UK if she doesn’t join Instagram. He didn’t say it exactly like that, we are pretty sure that’s what he meant by it. We have to wonder why he didn’t advise the same to Ranbir Kapoor when he was and might stil be going through his flop phase? What about Kareena Kapoor or Saif Ali Khan? Why only Kat? Katrina on Instagram is a revelation. Not because she’s not the way we thought she was as a person, she’s exactly the way we thought she was. Got it? We realised that Kat seems to choose her roles depending on who she is with. Like when she was with Salman Khan, her roles were the sweet, cute and innocent types. When she was with Ranbir Kapoor, she opted for roles that required her to wear less. She was also obsessed about playing the guitar at one point because RK too was learning it for ‘Rockstar’. Maybe that’s what Ranbir meant when he said he wants a partner with her own and individual personality. We won’t say more, check out what Mumbai Mirror had to say about the reason why Katrina Kaif joined Instagram.

Kat’s out of the bag

WHEN one of Bollywood’s most private individuals arrives on a photo-sharing site and shares a pic with us almost daily, it’s time to find out the reason behind the sudden openness. Apparently, Katrina Kaif’s new bestie Karan Johar is behind her move to join the site. He, it seems, told her that she wouldn’t have a career left if she wasn’t present in the online world. (Johar’s protégés Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan shared Kaif’s first post — as did Salman Khan, but his reasons are obviously his own). Curiously, Kaif pays for her posts to pop up even on non-followers’ timelines. She has also hired a digital media agency to monitor her social media image. She also did a chat last month in which she revealed that several stars claimed not to have social media accounts, but stalked others’ accounts using fake names. That’s one savvy Kat, we tell ya.
