January 2014 – Bollywood Blind Item

This week’s blind item comes from Mid Day, which is a local paper in Mumbai. From time to time they do publish blinds, but it’s hard to tell whether they are legit or not. Read on to find out.

Shot in the dark: These promising Bollywood actors have no offers

Upset over two of its actors not getting any ads, this production house called the duo for an emergency meeting

They are two of Bollywood’s most promising actors and have been recently signed on by a known production house. And while their acting skills have been appreciated, their success hasn’t translated into ad offers.

Which is why the production house representing them decided to call ‘an emergency meeting’ with the two. Sources say that when both these actors turned up for their meeting last week, they had no inkling about the agenda to be discussed. “Both of them turned up in a jovial mood but this changed soon after the meeting begun.

It was brought to their attention that despite their popularity among the youth, they haven’t got too many ad offers yet. Clearly, the production house is concerned about this,” adds the source.

Moreover, parallels were drawn between them and their contemporaries. “The actors were startled to hear this and didn’t know what to say. The production house is now going to devise a new strategy to make both these actors more saleable,” says the source.
