    It is incorrect to claim that industrialists should be the sole parties to shoulder the responsibility in cleaning up their acts of environmental destructions. Are we not ordinary citizens of the world who are filling up landfills indiscrimately when we could separate our wastes to different categories for recycling purposes? Do we not use pesticides for our gardening which will contaminate water when we could use natural fertilizer as an alternative? These are just some of the small things we do but on an accumulation basis will affect the balance of the environment cycle.

    Meat processing is one of the main contributors to environment pollution. When we bid for hillside housing developments, we are encouraging deforestation which means we make loss with the photosynthesis cycle and here meat processing increases carbon emission into the air. Besides that, the discards also flow into the water where clean water is reduced.

    If being a vegetarian is not what you can survive, try to minus your meat intake and eat more vegetables. With less meat eaters, the waste from the meat processing will also be cut down.

    In the exception of few solar energy users, the electricity that we use is mainly generated from fossil fuel. The effect is the same as the carbon monoxide emitted from our vehicles. It is therefore imperative for us to be electric efficient at home with small energy capacity able to carry out more jobs at the same time.

    We should instead play an active role in contributing towards the conservation of the environment. Even if a neighbor or friend teases you, you can choose to step up as a role model and encourage their participation instead of retreating to submission just because you feel embarrassed.
