It’s not that hard to figure out who this blind item is talking about considering how there’s only one huge film up for release soon. Just last week, there was another blind item about the same film and the same situation.

As the blind item mentioned, times are bad for producers in Bollywood and they are not in the mood now to give in to every demand of a star, no matter how huge he might be. But this might just be temporary, as when things get back to normal and cinemas open back again, egos will start flaring up again!

On the plus side, there’s still time for that to happen as all big releases have now been postponed to next year. For now, no producer will want to spend big money to promote a film that is going to release on an OTT platform. It’s simply not worth it!

As for this actor, it’s quite something seeing him being so enthusiastic about his upcoming release. He has a gazillion releases a year, after all, but this is going to be his first release on an OTT platform. He is the first among the big stars to have a film release on a streaming platform so maybe that’s why he wants as many people to tune in as possible.

THE closure of cinema screens has hit the movie business like nothing else. Producers, even big studios, are finally learning to refuse to pamper movie stars and their unreasonable demands.

An upcoming film’s star suggested they promote a song from the film at a foreign location. For no reason, other than a marketing gimmick. The studio, sweating at the thought of a two-day entourage in a five-star jaunt and a private jet, put its foot down, pronto.
