Bollywood Blind Item – October 2019 – 24

So this blind item was released last week. Many online thought this was about this legendary director, but it’s not. At least, he will go and watch a film if the film is a surprise hit. That’s actually his thing, he likes to pick out these small stars and give them a seasonal pass to his group of minions. Now he does it with films from the south, he keeps up to date with them, just in case the films turn out to be big hits.

This about the other director, who is such a legend that she looks down on small films or rather art films, as she calls it. To her defense, she did say that she doesn’t want people to be depressed after seeing her films, she only wants to make masala/commercial films. She and her brother have the same mindset when it comes to the movies they like to make and watch.

She is currently casting for her upcoming film and holy moly, they are making so much noise about it, just to hype it up! If not link-ups, make up stuffs just to keep the film in the news!

Anyways, have no idea who this young actor is. This filmmaker said she was going to make an official announcement after Diwali, but nothing yet. Guess nothing has been finalized yet, which explains the many celebrity lunches she has been having at her place lately.

    Noticed Yet Unnoticed

A prominent filmmaker, in pre-production on a big fat multi-starrer project, has cast in the role of the villain a young actor who delivered one of last year’s best performances by a male actor, in what was, as it turns out, a small, sadly less-watched indie.

The funny thing is the filmmaker hasn’t watched the actor’s breakout performance (the filmmaker’s allergy to small-budget indie films is no secret) but is betting on the charisma and talent he displayed during the audition.

    Filmmaker: Farah Khan

    Project: Satte Pe Satta

Raj N Sippy’s Satte Pe Satta in 1982 was a rough remake of the Hollywood classic 7 Brides For 7 Brothers. While superstar Amitabh Bachchan played the eldest brother in a family of misfits, one hears Farah Khan who is doing the remake plans to play up the Bachchan character more than the other characters to accommodate Hrithik Roshan’s superstardom.

Apparently Hrithik loves the script, but wants his role to be fleshed out. “The A-listers no longer want to do multi-starrers. Gone are the days when Bachchan shared scenes with Sachin, Ranjeet, Sudhir and others in Satte Pe Satta; now Hrithik won’t do a 7-character story unless his character stands out. Sure, he did war with Tiger Shroff, but that was a one-off face-off film taken on after much persuasion from Aditya Chopra,” says a source.
