Bollywood Blind Item – March 2020 – 25

This filmmaker’s upcoming release has been postponed due to the recent situation the world has found itself into. But the blind item is not about the postponement of the film, it’s about something else. Clearly, the producers and director do not really care about the postponing of the release date since the trades have already said the film will be a big hit. Besides, when you are this filmmaker whose last previous films shattered box office records, it’s hard to be worried about this one.

So this blind item is about the filmmaker’s next release. Apparently, he has decided which South film he wants to remake but he has two in mind. Now note that the blind item mentions how he is going to buy the rights for these two films, which means his other films he bought the rights to remake them but he doesn’t or didn’t admit that these were remakes. He kind of has the right too since he bought the rights, which means he didn’t get inspired like others did when stealing a foreign or even North/South Indian film.

Check out the blind item from Mumbai Mirror.

WORD on the street is that this hit filmmaker is ready with a new story for his next film. We hear he has zeroed in on two films from the south that he plans to remake, depending on which rights he can hustle up first.

Of course, if you ask him, he will deny it outright. In fact, he denies that any of his films are remakes, even though they all are. But no one questions him as they all make the box office sing. Ka-ching.

Hit Filmmaker: Rohit Shetty

“This is with reference to the news that has appeared in Midday, that director Rohit Shetty has bought the rights of Tamil film Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru for Sooryavanshi. This is to clarify that the news is completely untrue and baseless. Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi, which is produced and directed by Rohit Shetty, is an original story and not inspired from any film,” an official statement issued by Rohit Shetty’s team, read.
