Bollywood Blind Item – January 2020 – 1

This actor had a great year in 2019. The last time he had such a great year was in 2006 when he acted in the sequel of this hit franchise and when he acted in the sequel of his own franchise.

So it must be nice for him to experience all of the adulation and love all over again. Naturally, he is going to have cold feet on what to sign next. Rajeev Masand also mentioned last week how all the films he signed before his action movie released were let go. His platter is clear at the moment and it will be a while before he gets back on the sets.

At least, his people are smart enough to advise him to do something quick enough so that his next year’s release slot won’t be empty. Well, it could be quick if he doesn’t get his father to read all of his scripts and decide on his behalf.

By the way, what is the deal with remaking South Indian films? Is Bollywood out of ideas or they don’t want to invest in good writers? Take this actor, for example. He charges so much for his films that the others don’t really stand the chance of getting paid well, especially the writers.

Check out the blind item from Mumbai Mirror.

Bollywood Blind Item

THIS well-known actor seems to have landed on his feet in 2019, after a tumultuous time at the box office and a choppy personal life a few years prior. However, all is not smooth sailing as yet. One of his most talked about upcoming films has run into a little rough weather thanks to a premature media blitz.

Our hero is now looking for a quick-fix formula for the next move. We hear he and a producer friend have been binge watching South Indian films, hoping to cash in on a remake, lest he ends 2020 with no film releases.

OSOP Guesses

Actor: Hrithik Roshan

Upcoming Film: Satte Pe Satta remake

“He has met many filmmakers and discussed ideas, but he hasn’t gone ahead to sign on anything because, after a film like WAR, which brings you such box office, it puts so much pressure and responsibility on you. For starters, Krrish 4 will happen only when Rakesh Roshanji is fine.

WAR will have a sequel, but that will also take time. Sanjay Gupta has also announced a film on the graphic superhero from India— Rakshak, and that could also be a possibility because Sanjay’s work has struck a great camaraderie during the making of Kaabil. Plus, he is also having long meetings with one more filmmaker without an actual subject discussion,” says our source.
