Bollywood Blind Item – April 2019 – 34

The blind item today comes from Rajeev Masand, and it’s about a topic that has been much talked about last year in so many blind items. Seriously, we thought by now they would have settled on it already or the actor would have found a way to get out of this project since it seemed he didn’t really want to do it in the first place.

Check out the blind item from Rajeev Masand.

    Bollywood Blind Item

    The Last Laugh

Both director and star were reportedly firm in their choice of the leading lady for the film they’re making together. The director wanted to cast his frequent heroine and muse, insisting that he owed her a “big one” after she’d trusted him blindly on practically all of his smaller films.

The star was leaning towards his actress girlfriend, insisting (correctly) that she’s incredibly talented and would raise the profile of the film by her mere presence.

According to well-placed sources the back-and-forth lasted months. Eventually it was the big shot producer bankrolling the project who is believed to have stepped in and reminded them that both choices—the director’s and actor’s—were too young for the role.

Apparently he suggested other prominent options. As it turns out, their search has ended with a top leading lady who just happens to be the star’s ex. Ahem.

    1. Alia/Nusrat arent a match for DP and her stardom, producer put in his money, he knows it well.

Alia, keep hanging onto RK, you now have 2 people who will push you in every movie, you will practically be in every movie and ruin outsiders/competition…keep doing it until audience gets bored with you (it has already started) and dont watch you anymore.

Nusrat, hope you have other options ready, time to move on from Luv and find a real mentor of Salman/Kjo calibre.

    2. DP should not I repeat NOT work with a # metoo accused – she would lose all her (left) standing…

    3. Ugh.

If it wasn’t Ranbir, Deepika wouldn’t have even taken a meeting with Luv Ranjan.

Like it matters if Luv Ranjan is a #MeToo acccused. Alok Rapist nath is not only in Ajay’s next but also featured plenty in the promos.

    4. dp is married so aloo would be okay in letting rk work with dp. aloo was super insecure when she saw cordial hug between rk and kk at an award function. there seems to a gradual shift for most of the big banners as of now towards aloo, she seems to have lost some amount of goodwill. big shots of the industry do not speak fondly of aloo as they used to speak earlier; be it imtiaz, zoya. dinesh vijan takes kriti, yash camp can’t get aloo in their movies. vd has also started avoiding aloo and works with other actresses, tolerated her for just movie promotion; so small budget movie makers join dharma and make movies for aloo. dp rk buzz seems to have been reduced to a certain extent. the latest ad was quite dull, wonder how would rk dp pair would work in movie

    5. I just don’t understand why everyone acts like it’s okay for actors to decide which other actors will be in the film. This industry needs to clean up its act! It’s still being run like an extended family business.

    6. And in regards to the blind – Nusrat is 33 apparently and so is Deepika…so how is she too young when she is same age as DP??

    7. Hey admin – I’ve been experiencing some bugs when going on your site. Not sure if I’m the only one…like sometimes some pages are in the blue/yellow format and sometimes in the black and white (more preferable) format. Then also I cannot right click on different articles. And on your homepage I can’t see all the new articles that came out. Please look into this. Thank you!

        1. Ok, so that blue layout is usually for mobiles but it is also for when the site is down. Instead of getting an error page, you still get the site. We are working on fixing the other issues so please bear with us. 🙏
