The blind item today comes from Rajeev Masand and it’s about a topic that has been much talked-about last year in so many blind items. Seriously, we thought by now they would have settled on it already or the actor would have found a way to get out of this project since it seemed he didn’t really want to do it in the first place.
After fighting for months on who they wanted the heroine of their films to be, they finally settled on one. While the actor was insisting on getting his
fake girlfriend for this role, the director wanted his own girl to be in this film.
Remember how we were all discussing here that since this film already has two big stars, there is a huge chance that the female roles will be either flower-pot roles or 5-minute
Maggi roles. So, there was no way his fake girlfriend was going to take this on.
Now, this blind item is saying how another top actress got the role so just how big is this role? Apparently, this is going to be an action and thriller kind of film. The senior star is playing the adopted father to the younger star. So, what’s there for the female actors? Bom diggy diggy bom bom?
Also, it’s not really confirmed yet whether she will be in this. We are guessing they are still working around everything since the shooting has been postponed and they will not be able to start anything until both stars are free. So, they might still change the casting.
But just imagine if these two work together again? Wonder what the interviews and publicity will be like? Headache.
Anyways, let’s see how they will clear that #MeToo tag that has been attached to the film’s director since last year.

The Last Laugh
Both director and star were reportedly firm in their choice of the leading lady for the film they’re making together. The director wanted to cast his frequent heroine and muse, insisting that he owed her a “big one” after she’d trusted him blindly on practically all of his smaller films.
The star was leaning towards his actress girlfriend, insisting (correctly) that she’s incredibly talented and would raise the profile of the film by her mere presence.
According to well-placed sources the back-and-forth lasted months. Eventually it was the big shot producer bankrolling the project who is believed to have stepped in and reminded them that both choices—the director’s and actor’s—were too young for the role.
Apparently he suggested other prominent options. As it turns out, their search has ended with a top leading lady who just happens to be the star’s ex. Ahem.
