Blind Item – September – Bollywood – 2018

The blind item below is from Mumbai Mirror. It is of no use discussing it because it’s all fake. This actress is already in a relationship, something that was reported by the very same gossip collumn. The actor too is still with his sugamama. Just last week, they were both bold enough to come out and sit next to each other at a fashion show. We are guessing the blind item below is in conjunction with their upcoming film, which by the way looks really dull.

The trailer released today, you can check it out below. This brings back memories of the original film and how it was a milestone for Katrina Kaif. Come to think of it, she did not have the same courage and confidence to carry another film on her shoulders like she did with this one. Sure, Akshay Kumar was in it but the film belonged to Katrina, more than anyone else. It is just amazing to see how things have changed. Back then, she didn’t care and was very open to speaking in her angreezi Hindi. Don’t know what must have happened to her that she just went into a shell and decided to only play flower pot roles.

It seems that she is really sensitive to negative comments and someone must have said something to her that she thought she is better off playing these less-than-15-minute roles alongside superstars. Unless she was not offered strong leading roles, but that’s very unlikely. If you see the career graph of any female star, they have that one film that makes them happen and then afterwards, they choose strong roles to continue that upward surge in their career graph. Perhaps, Priyanka Chopra is the only top actress who choose to do flower pot roles alongside strong leading roles. Like, she did a bimbo-kind-of-role in ‘Zanjeer’ and then, ‘Mary Kom’ happened. It can be the perfect balance only if the flower pot roles work. If you see in the South Film Industry, there’s Nayanthara and Anushka Shetty. Nayan has been around for a while now and it seems that she has found the perfect balance. She plays the leading actress alongside any superstar or big actor and then, she gets to lead an author-backed role in her own film alongside other lesser-known or happening actors. So far, it’s a win-win situation for her. The same with Anushka.

In Bollywood, so far Anushka Sharma has been able to do this. That’s why you still see her acting alongside the Khans. She gets a hit and then, gets to produce her own films where she is the main star. She is smart in a way that she is not arrogant enough to act alongside big heroes in Bollywood and play their game as long as she gets to play hers at the end of the day. And she minds her own business, as long as you are not throwing garbage on the road.

Take actresses like Kangana Ranaut and Vidya Balan. Both are established actresses and deserve to get good author-backed leading roles, which unfortunately has not worked well in their favour. While Kangana has publicly said that she will not work alongside superstars, Vidya has the opposite problem. It’s hard to find a superstar, who is willing to work with her. It’s not that they don’t like her, it’s more to do with they don’t think they pair well with her. Plus, can you really give Vidya roles in films in which she has nothing better to do. In a way, she is free to work with new actors, like she did in her last film. Besides, these superstars have their own harem of girls to put in their films.

But isn’t sad and pathetic that the guys don’t have to do this? They only play lead or side roles!

Back to this film in the blind item below. It just looks disappointing, nothing like the original. When something like this takes a long time in pre-production, it’s not a project worth taking. This is not Rajamouli’s script or Shankar’s movie or Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period film, it was a script that many actors rejected, including the original leading actors of the film. The film stars these two actors, who made their debut together. That is probably the only USP of this film. So much have changed since then. They were different when they were launched, especially her. Now, there is no difference.

Also, what is it with these new actors looking so much different? Salman, Aamir, Hrithik, Abhishek and Shah Rukh looked the same for years – they looked even better after their 30s. These new actors change so much and it hasn’t even been ten years. They have facial hair and a receding hairline. Sometimes, they look big while at other times, they wear skinny jeans. What is going on with their diet and in their daily lives that they keep on looking so older different every time? And it’s not different, like in the Aamir Khan way where he changes his appearance and looks based on his character. Like Tiger Shroff, in a span of 4 years, he looks different from the young boy who made his debut in ‘Heropanti’ to a man with a chest that has a Tic Tac Toe board!

Anyways, back to the blind item. This girl is talented, she just needs to stop obsessing over losing more weight and her looks. She was even beautiful back then because she looked happy and happening, unbothered by everything happening around her. Hopefully, she is secure in her personal life, which will help her deal with whatever it is going on with her professionally. Check out the blind item from Mumbai Mirror.

Bollywood Blind Item

LIFE has come full circle for this bubbly young actor. For her next film, she has been cast with one of her first heroes. But nostalgia seems to have gotten the better of her, and she has been latching onto every word her newly single hero utters. The actor has become aware of her feelings for him and has politely told her they have nothing in common, apart from these two films of course. He is gently recommending another one of his single friends to her instead.
