Blind Item – January 2018 – Bollywood 6

The blind item below is an example of how the big fish eat the small fish in this industry. There has been another blind item regarding this situation before and this time, the blind item elaborates more on this whole thing. This is happening because industry people, who have once been successful cannot wait to get back the accolades and praises they once got.

They yearn for that to happen again and this director too seems one of these people. Let’s see how this works out for him. If he’s that crazy chasing success again at this speed and rate, he might just fall back and not be able to get back on track, especially when he’s stepping over someone else’s hard work!

Check out the blind item from Box Office India.

Bollywood Blind Item

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: very often, the best drama and intrigue plays out in the making of our films rather than on screen!

Take, for example, this film which has an exciting cast and was to be directed by the debuting protege of a big director. But with everything in place, it was subsequently announced that there was a change in plan instead of the protege, the big name presenter would direct the film himself.

A change in director isn’t exactly unprecedented but from what we hear, it was a rather interesting chain of events that brought this about. It seems that while the protege was able to get a great cast on board, the big name director was unable to get actors of similar stature for the film he was mounting for his own directorial.

This, we are told, led to a pretty discernible change in the vibes the protege started getting from his godfather. While earlier, they were on the same page, suddenly creative differences’ started cropping up over the film.

When things began to get out of hand, the protege suggested that there could be only one vision driving the film, so either he should be left to direct it the way he wanted to, or else the biggie should direct it himself. The protege had hoped this would make his boss realise that he was coming on too strong and should ease off, but imagine his shock when, instead, he was told, Ok, I’ll direct it then, and we will find something else for you!’

And that was that! Which is why the film industry can so often seem like a game of snakes and ladders… Sometimes, you can be brought crashing back to square one just as you’re about to reach your goal!
