Blind Item – February 2018 3

Barbie dolls are what kids play with. As they grow up, they let go of these toys and pick up something else. These days, it’s more like phones they pick up instead of a sport or a real hobby, but that besides the point. Point is, they tired of playing these Barbie dolls and turn to something else with more life in it. There are still people, though, who enjoy their collection of Barbie from all over the world. Frankly, we never played with one Barbie when we were little. They looked freaky with their fake wide smile and dead-looking eyes, we preferred teddy bears or any other furry animal. And these people, who underwent a million of plastic surgery procedures to look like these Barbie dolls, ruined it for everyone.

The blind item today is by Mumbai Mirror and is about an actor, he’s not a Ken doll but is referred to as one. As it is, everyone saw it from a distance; everyone, except him and his mentor. They saw how his films would not work at the box office because he alone cannot make the audience come to theatres to see him ‘act’. His talent is known, so we have to wonder why filmmakers hire him to work in their films, especially heavy films that require acting from the performers. If the audience knows it, then don’t the filmmakers and producers know it? At least, get the guy do some workshop or have an acting coach or something.

We don’t know why everyone close to this filmmaker thinks that he is the right person to go to for advice on their career. He himself doesn’t know anymore, which is why he has been doing other things and just shooting arrows with his eyes closed. When you are drowning, someone else comes and asks you for help, what are you going to say? It’s not hard to see why the filmmaker did what he did. He has realised that the dude is not going to work due to his non-existent talent. Also, he doesn’t have the money anymore to produce movies for his favourites. He has to sell the actors to other movie productions. Sell as in convince the producers why these actors that he is recommending are good for the film.

Mumbai Mirror got one detail wrong in their blind item. It’s not 5 back to back movies because these movies didn’t come one after the other. Check out the blind item below to see what we are talking about. Let’s just wait and see what this actor manages to do to get more films.

Bollywood Blind Item

AFTER five back-to-back flops, this good-looking but obviously luck-less actor recently ran back to his mentor asking for another film. The mentor—the kind and large-hearted soul that he is—heard him out patiently. Then he said he had no film for him, and couldn’t help him out any more professionally. Now with the big-ticket guru gone, love life outta the window, and selling films via rumoured romances not working at all, our handsome hero is looking for new career tricks. Oops.
