Blind Item – 2017 – Bollywood – June

As is the case with most films these days, the audience and media might just never know how much did these films earn at the box office. After a week, there’s a lot of ‘saving face’ that is done by the producers of the film. The Roshans are know to be a big believer in using their own calculator and other productions are not that far behind. The blind item below is a recent one by Rajeev Masand. The film released some two weeks back and it has already had a success party to celebrate the success of the film. It’s a strange thing considering how critics and the audience literally badmouth and panned the film. The producer of this film is know to have suffer many loses when her films didn’t do well at the box office. Why would she fake the profits now? To gain what? We were surprised by the supposed success of this film because the trailer was just so bland. Bad choice of actors to play the lead characters and many more were noticed by the audience. We won’t say more, just check out the blind item below by Rajeev Masand.

    Learning from His Mistakes

Two nights after celebrating the ‘success’ of his latest film, this young director reportedly called for a closed-door meeting of his closest collaborators to sit down and understand what went wrong with the movie. This is because even as the film’s producer continues to send out inflated box office numbers and host celebrations to give the impression that they have a winner on their hands, insiders are well aware that the film has underperformed. And let’s not even talk about the savage reviews and crushing word of mouth from the audience.

Keen to identify where they slipped up, the director assembled his writer, an actor friend, the author on whose book the film is based, and a handful of key associates. Together, over a couple of drinks, they weighed in on what they believe were the film’s weaknesses. The director specifically didn’t involve his leading man in the exercise, aware that the others might be reluctant to speak frankly in the presence of the star.

Apparently it was agreed upon that the script had too many problems, their hero just didn’t look like an athlete, and the film’s VFX were embarrassing to say the least. Never mind what comes of this deconstruction, the filmmaker’s team was happy to discover that he took the criticism on the chin and seemed genuinely committed to pulling up his socks on the next film he’s currently working on.

    1. I’m a bit surprised that Arjun’s messing up. He seemed committed at the start. His expressions during dancing reminded people of another loser star son, AB Jr., who was possibly the laziest leading actor in B Town in the last decade (I’m not an insider, AB Jr. just looks lazy as heck).

    2. this guy Arjun Kapoor is totally useless and why is he expanding his body all these days. He is looking like poor version of Triple H totally unfit for Bollywood movies and looks a giant in front of his heroines

      1. Totally agree.. People should stop making movies with him just like AB Jr, Imran Khan are no longer doing any,
