A senior and celebrated actor is being wooed by a publishing major to release a biography of his many successful films and colourful personal life. The garrulous actor, and his wife, have agreed to it in principle. But now we hear the battle is between choosing one among two senior journalists to pen the memoir. One hack is a society chronicling veteran, who has been after the actor to write his biography for years. The other is a film critic who is the actor’s choice. What the diarist wants to know is whether the actor’s many affairs will be discussed or not, never mind the messenger.
