Blind Item – April 2017

Mumbai Mirror has published the below blind item. It was not released as much as a blind item than a news item. There was another blind item about this whole situation, which we haven’t posted yet. Though the other blind item told of the breaking up news, the scandalous things weren’t leaked. We are a bit surprised since the accused doesn’t really seem like the kind, who are into women. Check it out below.

Bollywood breakup over sex pest claims

Bollywood, notorious for its casting couch, seems to have taken its first step in the fight against sexism. A well-known film director, known for having directed a blockbuster in the recent past, has reportedly parted ways from his band of brothers, all of them equally renowned in their own right.

The parting reportedly happened after a young woman in their company stepped forward to complain about the director, a man who rather fancies his luck with the ladies. What appeared to have led to the drastic final decision was that while her complaint was being investigated, few other women also came forward to say that the same director had made unwanted advances towards them as well.

The director, people close to the development told this newspaper, has stopped coming to the office for the last few days. The events at the company were confirmed by multiple sources.

Following the recent allegations against Arunabh Kumar, the high-profile boss of TVF, these fresh allegations against the film director only serve to highlight instances of sexism in the entertainment industry.

Meanwhile, while the others in the company chose to not respond to this news, a spokesperson categorically denied that there were any instances of sexual harassment at their workplace or even that thesaid director had parted ways from the company. “We are in fact starting a film together shortly,” said the spokesperson.

We have refrained from taking any names as there is no FIR in the case as yet, and despite repeated attempts to get his version, the director in question chose not to respond.
