Bipasha Basu defends her act of unprofessionalism in London

You may have read how Bipasha Basu decided to celebrate International Women’s Day by scratching her young manager in the arm, taking a young female designer’s money and being unprofessional to a bunch of ladies, who needed her for a job they hired her to do. Bipasha took her time to make up the below statement that neither confirms or denies what has happened or what she did. She did twist out a couple of things so that people won’t notice. Sadly thought, the people affected by her actions have already elaborated on the whole thing. So much so, that Bip’s statement looks like a bunch of lies. Guess she was trying to figure out what to write. Maybe she should have let her monkey pen down some monkey love poem to explain their whole travelling monkeys on other people’s money situation. Speaking of travelling monkeys, these two were obviously shook by the whole thing as they haven’t been nauseating the Instagram world with their monkey love in the form of pictures. We can guarantee that they were shocked by the fast response this whole thing got and how it went out of their control. They thought they could do this quietly and no one would notice. But damn, Indians got to them on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook with their mean comments calling their thiefs and some of them even offering these two housekeeping jobs at their homes. Quite a blow for Bipasha. Anyways, check out their monkey statement about the whole situation.

Bipasha Basu‘s Statement

Bipasha Basu defends her act of unprofessionalism in London

While a lot has been said about my association with the recent London Fashion Show, I feel that I need to speak my mind at this juncture. I do believe that it is important to be true to yourself and your principles. I have always fought my own battles, and though I don’t choose to fall to their level, I need to set the record straight. While a few hiccups are bound to happen in our line of work, I have never been privy to such baseless and cheap name slandering.

Initially I was amused that the defaulters are playing the victim card and making up ridiculous stories to save their back and putting me in the wrong but now I’m shocked that certain segments of the media too have supported them and people are wrongly using social media as a weapon of mass attack. Also to be noted that these are first time producers in London.

To set the record straight – The deal was made with a set of agreed conditions. However, when I landed there for the project as planned, I realized that the organizers hadn’t honored their end of the bargain. In spite of confirming with my manager that they had. I had agreed to travel on a hospitality deal but never was I treated so badly. My self-respect holds the highest value and I refuse to be a victim of bullying or arm twisting. They expected me to hold true to my end of the bargain, whereas they had completely defaulted at their end. Using the fact that my name had already been publicised.

Contrary to rumors, as soon as I landed in London , we made our own hotel bookings and I also immediately rebooked our own travel. Being a part of the Bollywood fraternity, I’ve never experienced such a callous and high-handed treatment before. So instead of creating a scene there, I chose to keep the high ground and backed- off from the event.

I understand that some people were inadvertently hurt by my actions; but I believe we all have the right to stand by our self respect and choose to walk away from humiliating situations. There are no free lunches in this world and everyone needs to be compensated for the work they do and when the terms and conditions aren’t met, it is only natural and professional to opt out of the deal.

Additionally, what has been reported about my manager is uncalled for. She received some disheartening news of her family and was upset, as opposed to the ridiculous reasons being reported. I hope this puts an end to all speculation.

While I do understand that celebrities are public figures and are constantly under scrutiny, at the same time they are soft targets for anyone to accuse and then be written about. I hope everyone makes a wiser judgement as opposed to believing just about anything that is gets written.

I have no idea who to believe in but yeah if she’s out of job and even took advantage and asked them to buy the tickets for her husband, that seems like a cheap and unprofessional thing to do.

This sounds like a load of crap. Bipasha is broke out of work and yet she’s trying to live a champagne lifestyle on a beer budget. I have no respect for Bipasha and her freeloading husband! This was the fashion designers first major show and she took care of her end of the bargain which was originally to accommodate Bipasha’s hotel stay for 2 days and the advance for doing the show. However, Bipasha completely took advantage of that poor girl by making her pay for her husband’s flight, cell phones and 3 extra nights in a 5-star hotel. Karma will come to these two con artists who think it’s okay to take advantage of people and live life on someone else’s tab. Bipasha and Karan need to find stable jobs and quit “monkeying around.” This behaviour might give us all some insight as to why John never married her. I never believed she was the victim when that relationship ended. SHAME!!!

I still feel the event manager was at fault too. You don’t constantly default with your payments and not expect repercussions

Maybe the designer did all this because it was her first show. They were all desperate. After all, Bips was supposed to be representing India. Also, she has been in this business for a long, the least she could have done is be patient with them. All the reasons she gave don’t justify how she tortured everyone there, including that poor manager.
