2018 – October – Bollywood Blind Item 3
The blind item below is about a recent release that has been getting some good reviews at film festivals. The trailer was something not that common, but it didn’t look out of this world. Still, the film got special mentions from the stars of Bollywood since one of the producers is a now famous director. From Mumbai Mirror, this blind item talks about why this movie was in the making for so long.
The lead actor was doing interviews mentioning how he had to stay in the same look for five years. We thought it has something to do with the VFX taking this long. As it turned out, the delay is because the producer was not happy with the final product and had the film re-shot. Thankfully for ex-director, he was paid for the job not well-done but he was asked not to talk about it. Now that the film is getting good reviews internationally, he wants people to think that he was the one who directed the film.
By the way, the lead actor in this film is the same actor who was in Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Simran’. He played the guy set up to marry her in an arranged marriage. It is so strange because we thought that he was not an Indian actor since he wasn’t speaking Hindi properly. Maybe he was in character, then. Turns out, he has been around since 2009! Well, all the best to him for this film.

THIS is such a sad tale of sour grapes. A recent film, which has in its credits as many as three directors, has been at the centre of much gossip lately. The movie took about four years to get made and the producer spent a lot of money on it. But the latter wasn’t happy with the end result, and asked its famous creative co-director to step aside. His dues were paid and he was asked not to give any interviews about the movie. But, with the film doing remarkably well at film festivals, the co-director has been calling up all his friends in the media, saying that he was the one who ghost-directed the film all along. That’s not all, he has also been bad-mouthing the producer, who was not only patient with him, but also professional enough to give him a golden handshake. Tch.
