2018 – November – Bollywood Blind Item 5
Bollywood is not a good place to make friendships. It is a place where friendships and relationships are created based on the foundation of money. Perhaps, before directors managed to maintain a good relationship with their actors. But lately, the minute the movie flops, the director is kicked out of the actor’s life. Take for example, Bollywood‘s Ultimate Godfather. He worked with Kabir Khan for 2 films, which changed his place in Bollywood and also his box office status. The minute their third film became a big flop and was panned by critics and the audience, Godfather dropped Kabir like nothing; bhai walked out like this:
Seriously, he just ended their friendship right then and there with no regards to their previous two successful films together. So you see, this relationship between a director and an actor is superficial. For some reason, the director thinks he has stuck gold and nothing will happen to his friendship with his favourite actor, but the actor has something else in mind. The same situation happened to the director in the blind item below. Seriously though, we just realised that this film came and went. It ended up being a flop at the box office. Most probably because the attention was shifted to the other film that the same actress was in, a film that went on to become a surprise hit at the box office hence this one was forgotten.
This actor desperately needs to get his career back on track, his solo acting career. He is smart enough to realise that he shouldn’t be working with a director that he has already given a flop with before. And, that’s why they broke up! Check out the blind item below from Mumbai Mirror.
WHATEVER has come between two of Bollywood’s newest best buds? Nope, it isn’t the expected — a quotidian common passion for a female star. Instead, the pals have parted ways, thanks to the super flop they created earlier this year. Even though they had announced another film together, that movie, we’d think, will be waiting in the wings for a long time. In Bollywood, we love our mates, but we especially love them if they make hit films.
Newest Buds: Shree Narayan Singh and Shahid Kapoor
Super Flop: Batti Gul Meter Chalu
