2018 – November – Blind Item

There was no blind item released today, but in the late evening this blind item was released. It is about a case that has been going on for almost two years now. Since the #MeToo movement started in India, this case too was brought back into the limelight. Now the victim in this case does not want to show her face and give her name to the accusations that she has thrown on the filmmaker. Rightly so, there is nothing wrong with it. The way we see it, this accused filmmaker has thrown a case against his former partners for abandoning him and badmouthing him in public. It is a clear fight of ego that is happening and if you are familiar with how the Indian law works, this fight can go on for ages. So, if you think that this girl is wrong for not coming out in public about her accusations, think about all the years she will have to go in and out of court for this case and all the money she will have to spend on this.

She has said that her not coming out does not mean that her accusations are not true. The incident did happen and it traumatised her. Now that aside, PinkVilla has this blind item about her supposed real situation. There is a huge chance this is not true since this case has been around for a long time. Everyone at this company and in Bollywood knew about it, so why now is somebody supposedly spilling the beans on this girl? The only thing that one can think of is the accused is trying to discredit this girl.

Still, whatever the situation might be with her, it doesn’t change the fact that what happened to her and what this man did to her was downright disgusting. If a rapist can have rights to justice, then she can too! The director is just trying to clean up his image since things got messy for him ever since the #MeToo movement started. Yes, now only people are taking actions despite his true self was revealed years ago; not just this case but in blind items as well, which have detailed how drunk he can be and how he has harassed random women before while still married.

Check out the blind item from PV below.

Reason why the girl who accused filmmaker of sexual misconduct refused to file case

The Me Too movement in India is on a roll for over a month now. Lately, an ex-employee of a production company which has now been dissolved accused her former boss, also a filmmaker, of sexual harassment. The filmmaker, who has directed a career changing film for a lead actress and with one film in the pipeline, has been having a hard time with a number of cases against him. He, in fact, has filed a defamation case against his former partners as well.

It was recently seen that the victim in the case had excused herself off the case and we exclusively reveal the real reason for it. Apparently, the girl happens to be in the drug selling business and she fears of getting caught or exposed by some industry insiders who know that the case filed against the filmmaker would perhaps not stand in the court or in front of the police. This is the reason why the woman refuses to pursue the case and is not likely too in the future as well.

Production Company: Phantom Films

Filmmaker: Vikas Bahl

In an apparent attack at Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, the lawyer said that they are trying to malign the image of his client. “Once the victim says that she does not want to file the complaint the automatic impression is that someone was trying to fire from her shoulder. That is the reason we have filed the complaint against those people who were trying to use the victim and fire from her shoulder,” the lawyer further added.

Bahl had filed a defamation case against Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and others recently in the Bombay High Court, and also sought compensation of Rs. 10 crore from the respondents.

In his application, submitted to the court, Bahl alleged that Kashyap and Motwane, among others, took advantage of the ongoing #MeToo movement in India and have published “false, malicious, unsubstantiated imputations, allegations and statements” against him through their social media platforms.

Earlier, the employee of now dissolved Phantom Films alleged Bahl of sexual harassment and narrated her experience with the director in a series of interviews with a publication.
