2018 – July – Bollywood Blind Item 2

Today’s blind item does not come as a surprise at all. Now that this actor has the big hit that he has been yearning for, he is having second thoughts about working with this small filmmaker. The irony is when he was in his flop phase, he chased this director for a while and subsequently, ended up signing a film with him that also stars a senior star. Now that he has the hit film, his friends think that he should let go of this project and focus on the others.

This actor already has 2 films that he has to shoot for. He has already started working on one film and after he is done with this one, he will start on the other film. Both films are from big production houses. The film with the small filmmaker was rescheduled to next year. Let’s see now if this actor has the guts to tell this filmmaker that he would not like to do his film. There is a huge chance he might not do it as before too he was in the same position when he promised his friends that he will do their films and had to do these films in the end even though he did not want to.

It will be interesting to see if he can really get himself out of this deal. We bet the other actor, the one who was heartbroken when this filmmaker dumped him for this actor, is sitting and praying that it does really happen – that is if he still has hope of being in this film, if he can forgive the director for what he did. Let’s see how it will happen. By the way, there is a huge chance that this recent hit has been giving out fake collections. We will you why. This director’s films have always been hugely misreported when it comes to its box office collections. No one suspected anything until there was one of his films that was reported to be fully booked when this person went to the same theatre to see the film, the hall was empty; it was fully booked but it was empty. Now these days, they don’t have to do it this way, they just need to send out the fake collections and that’s it.

The film is not that big of a deal. It was bad. Bad mostly because they overhyped it and also because of the ridiculous storyline. We wonder, though, who is the one responsible for faking the collections? Is it the director or the producer? There has to be logic somewhere since the film has been panned by critics and those, who watched it. How is it making this much money? They are publicising it that it made more money than ‘Baahubali’! For real?!

Check out the blind item below by PinkVilla. Strangely, as this blind item has come out, the director’s production house has sent out a tweet claiming that the film has already been set to be released next year for Christmas.

    Bollywood Blind Item

    2018 - July - Bollywood Blind Item 2

This actor’s friends are brainwashing him into walking out of a father-son project

This actor, who has recently got success in a big way is being dissuaded from being part of a project by a director who too has had a Rs 100 crore film to his credit. The actor’s friends apparently are brainwashing him into walking out of the project which is a father-son project that is going on floors, next January. The actor has been told to be more selective and stay away from smaller filmmakers. Besides he has already signed another father-son project which his friends say is good enough for him. But insiders feel that the other actor who is playing his pop in that flick is a powerhouse performer and likely to dominate him so it is better he slips out of that project.

    Let’s wait and watch!

    1. Everyone acted well in Sanju even though the story is a white wash. Thank God he is not working in Luv Ranjan’s misogynistic movie!

    2. I don’t think sanju collection is fake even in uae or Pakistan ppl going mad speaking very high giving 10/10 n 5/5.lookalike add seriously hate rk lots bcz rk have done brilliant acting n raju hirani’s direction done magic.add try to be professional not let ur hate to came in opinions(real).

      1. I just came from watching Sanju in NY and theater was pretty much half full. I would pick Ranveer over Ranbir any day but I’ll give credit where credit is due. Ranbir did do a overall good job. Vicky Kaushal and Paresh Rawal were magnificent in my opinion. Yes the movie chose to gloss over several aspects of his life but being a RKH movie, even with the “glorification” of Sanjay Dutt’s life, there were sweet moments between father-son and funny moments which the audience appreciated.

    3. For all who dont know they were many stories of fake collection and fake audience for PK.

Ranbir is trash. Admin is right to write about him they way they do. Any man that can plant stories about his own mother is the ultimate worst.

We never heard shit about luv, karthik or that gang and all of a sudden a 100cr plus collection and their names cannot be pulled thru the mud enough.

First kangana, then ssr and now sonu’s group. Lol – like its getting old now?

      1. Yes Yes. I also heard that the collections of PK were manipulated. I couldn’t believe PK’s collection myself. The film was a one time watch at best and everybody agrees. Most went to watch that film because its a Raju Hirani – Amir Khan film and they do have an outstanding record together as well as individually, so the combo had to be good especially after 3 idiots. Other than hard core Amir fan i don’t think anyone went to watch it again.

Another thing , for some reason the public here refuses to believe that talented people can commit mistakes or frauds and are treated like Gods just because they are talented. Its gross. Its like two things can’t hold true at the same time. Ridiculous!

    4. Though i hate ranbir, and i badly wanted sanju to flop, but the fact is people are really liking the film a lot. Even ranbirs haters are liking his acting and wouldn’t mind watching the movie again. We need to give full credit to raju hirani and his team for this, he is very good in manipulating the viewers. PK, three idiots etc were a huge success worldwide, its a proof of hiranis talent. People expect his movies to be good by default, just like they expect amir khans movie to be good. Almost everyone who has watched the movie will feel bad for sanjay even though hes a certified criminal. So i wonder if the box office figures are fake.

      1. Ranbir’s acting was over in some scenes was widely mentioned. Its VICKY kaushal who is getting praise and its being called as HIRANI movie….which is why RK fans are more butt hurt.

    5. The source of this Blind for sure is kjo and the friend must be ayan.Ayan for sure wants ranbir to focus on his film only probably ayan doesn’t want another underperforming ranbir film to have an impact on his own film. Now that movie is a hit ranbir would only work with big director again luv was most likely a safety net for Ranbir in case Sanju didn’t do well.

This will also be a reality check for luv who dumped the loyal Karthik and his gf Nushrat in order to work with ranbir.karthik better wake up and rethink of his trust in kjo camp.

What I don’t get about kjo is why any outsider who remotely gets in touch for prjs or otherwise with camp kjo gets a string of negative/ messy blinds . I guess kjo sends these because he can’t keep the gossip to himself the gossip anti he is in bw.

    6. Admin, your hatred for Ranbir is on another level — get some help. Sanju has been panned by critics? Rajkumar Hirani fakes his box office collection? You know, this is the first time someone has made those accusations. There’s comscore tracking the film’s collection and websites are providing collections per chain. You badly wanted Sanju to flop and it didn’t, so you’re just salty. And oh, did you actually watch the film that you’re making proclamations that it was a bad film? In one of the earlier posts when someone asked you to do a Sanju movie review didn’t you say that you were not going to watch the film.

      1. Its good that there are a few in society who hates product of misogyny and abuse…Ranbir and his family abused his girlfreinds emotionally. He is the kind of guy who threw his maid and also his co actor into deep water just to see them struggle and drown. He and his family blamed his girfriends for his series of flops.

He uses his sadistic buddies (KJO and AYAN) to hype him up, lobby for roles others are in talks for and stomp all over them when things go south.

Ranbir fans are begging for credit for ‘SANJU’ his performance at best was ‘FINE’ …everyone is raising vicky Kaushal and calling HIRANI is superstar. So take ur frustration elsewhere.

    7. @admin…. Damn i was having the same doubts about box-office figures being manipulated.

Always knew BOI was biased, but now even Krk box-office cannot be trusted(which previously was reasonably honest to an extent) anymore someone has bought the portal from krk, now most of their tweets look like they are sold—-selective hate on few stars and selectively over-hyping few other stars.

And TOI is mainly involved in this murky shit, check out tweets of Vineet jain( Md of TOI group), you’ll see how biased he is( regarding Sanju and Ranbir kapoor). Why do i feel like there’s a bigger propaganda behind this over-hyping business. I have theory regarding this, but it might seem a bit far-fetched for many readers, but according to my theory some big kind of power-shift is happening in bollywood( against khans) and this is being orchestrated by the people outside bollywood like politicians etc.

      1. You could be right about the Khan thing. I’ve seen a few articles and comments here and there kinda hinting about the idea.

      2. @pooja I like your thoughts. Could you explain in further detail your theory about the powershift being orchestrated against the Khans? This is the first time I’m hearing it.

      3. @pooja I did notice Ranbir pr is releasing articles comparing Sanju collection to Khan movies and how it is doing better than some of their movies. Initially Sanju collection was compared to Salman’s Race 3 and how it surpassed its collection.Just now saw a filmfare article saying that RK’s Sanju surpassed SRK’s highest grosser Chennai Express life time collection. Also this headline from a pv article ” Khan who? Ranbir Kapoor is the NEW box-office king as Sanju enters 200-crore club”. One 200crore ++ grosser and he is in the same league as the Khans. Give back to back 100 crores or 200 crore movies before claiming such things RK pr. Good pr strategy though. Instead of comparing him to his contemporaries his pr is comparing him to the Khans.

Imo Sanju credit should go to brand Hirani. The pattern with RK movie is that if the movie does well the credit should go to him. But if the movie flop the director is to be blamed. Anurag Basu and Abhinav Kashyap both had hits Barfi (credited as RK’s hit) and Dabang respectively yet they both are blamed for the failure of the Jagga and Besharam. Anurag Basu took the blame for BV disaster and went on record to say that he failed Ranbir. Imtiaz gave hit Rockstar (credited as RK’s hit) but Tamasha failed because of him. Such irony and double standards when it come to Kapoor scion.

      4. I am in agreement with Pooja. Bollywood box office numbers have never been very reliable because Rentrak and other agencies’ reach outside of metro areas is limited and suburban/rural collections are self-reported by distributors/theater owners and these are often manipulated. Most recently Kaabil’s numbers were faked. And the Times Group’s involvement makes it even more murky given it was recently it was all over the news how they sold out to the govt for only publishing propaganda news. I have similar reservations about Raazi’s BO numbers too and the massive hype it got from press. Although its smaller in scale but it was odd how KJo, Alia etc had a premature Raazi success party within 5 days from the release date, but the movie did not make 100 cr until its 3rd weekend. Even more odd, most mainstream movie reviewers did not review Parmanu by John Abraham, which was the only A-list movie that released on the 3rd weekend of Raazi. Looked like a mass movement to destroy competition and give Raazi a clear run at 100 CR. And get this – Times CEO Vineet Jain is also a producer of Raazi. Jain is learning from the best. After all, bambani benefitted generously from the the successful Karni Sena publicity stunt of Padmavat and proximity to govt, as he was one of the producers/distributers. Today bambanis’ Jio engg college was awarded Institutes of Eminence status and will receive 1000 CR over the next 5 years!!! Also, the sudden (over the last 2 years) but persistent attacks on the Khans look orchestrated to me too by entrepreneurs who finance movies and in bed with gov; its not just coincidence. IMHO, because the Khans produce their own movies, these moneybags want to throw out the old guard, gain control of the business and make sure that the replacements are firmly in their pockets. Ironically, this is exactly how the underworld took over Btown decades ago. All of this is shady af.
