It’s astounding to see rich people ask common people like us for money to help other people. It doesn’t make sense when they are supposedly millionaires.
We have spoken about this late last month when Sandra Bullock donated $1 million to hurricane victims and other celebrities donated barely half of that money while asking commoners again to donate.
Here’s the thing, to help others is something that is personal and an individual choice. The only thing you can do to get people to donate is to emotionally blackmail them. We are talking about people, who by themselves did not donate.
Ordinary people like us know that these celebrities are loaded since they have shared and bragged to the world on how they are the highest paid and all that. So, why do they need commoners’ money to help those in need?
This post is about the recent organised Hollywood telethon that was held to raise money for victims of the two biggest hurricanes that recently hit several places in the U.S. Titled the Hand in Hand telethon, rich celebrities came out to sit in front of the camera and take calls from the commoners, who might just be fans of theirs.
Instead of writing a post that praise these celebrities for taking the time out from their supposedly busy schedules, we decided to analyse how much are these celebrities worth. By the way, the telethon managed to raise only $14+ million from the commoners.
Just think that if all of these celebrities each donated $1 million or more, more lives can be saved and more homes can be repaired. Just imagine that the hurricane victims are going to go back to their homes, which are now completely destroyed. They have to start back from scratch.
If you think about it, when these celebrities have TV shows, movies or music albums coming out, people line up for them. In a way, it’s the ordinary people that help make these celebrities rich. Sure, some of them might be because of the Illuminati (signing up with the devil), they are still rich and relevant because of the commoners. And you know what’s funny? When these celebrities make it to the highest paid lists, their fans are so happy for them!
So, in a bid to change things around, let’s take a look at how much the celebrities, who were part of the Hand in Hand hurricane relief benefit, are worth. All estimations were shared by Forbes Magazine.
