Today’s blind item comes from Mumbai Mirror and it’s been confirmed simultaneously by a news item from Mid Day. This blind item was already released as a rumour or gossip news item last week. While there has been denials issued, this MM blind item seems to think differently. Although, it does seem that even this BI writer is not sure whether or not it’s true.
So at this point, it’s still hearsay until a confirmation is out. We doubt, though, a confirmation will be out anytime soon because that will take the spotlight away from their upcoming big release that might finally see the inside of theatres all over the world. Bollywood Blind Item
A MUCH hyped engagement among these two good-looking actors seems to have indeed occurred, or so we hear. The parents of the actor have apparently purchased an elaborate Sabyasachi sari, and a sparkling diamond jewellery set, for his girlfriend of several years. While no one is confirming or denying any more, we hear the parents may just ask them to fix a wedding date before this year’s over. Looks like it’s going to be a year of Bollywood weddings.

EVEN as they await their biggest film in recent times – Padmavat will release on the January 25 weekend—their private loves continue to garner curiosity. But Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh aren’t telling us anything other than what they think we should know. So while they arrive and exit parties together, show up at airports in matching clothes, holiday together with families in tow—the two only blush at the mention of each other’s names. Now we hear the couple has taken the next step to cement their relationship. The engagement? Bah, that’s just silly sentimental stuff. Singh and Padukone have bought some property together, and it’s a nifty bungalow in Goa. A luxury residence has been recently picked up by the two jointly, in the same area that also has Raghuram Rajan and Sunil Gavaskar’s homes. We reached out to Singh’s team for an official comment on the actor purchasing a property in Goa but they denied the news. So we’ll just wait for a housewarming invite then.

Also forgot to add to my previous comment: I believe they are still together and genuine too. They may had a rough patch in mid 2017 but they may have patched up again and are back together.
I don’t know the status of their relationship right now but during 2013 to 2016 their relationship look like a genuine one. Mid 2017 was when breakup rumours were doing the rounds but they always get spotted together or comment on each others posts on insta to dispel the rumours.
Also there were rumours and news reports of a secret engagement in September 2017 because Dp was spotted with a ring in Bengaluru after DP and RS were both spotted and (one selfie a fan took with DP in London she was wearing a ring on her ring finger) in London by fans. So this is not the first time it haa been reported but first time a blind about it.
Filmfare 2016 where Ranveer and Deepika were sitting together with their families and when they won awards they hugged their respective families even before they hugged each other. The full filmfare video is on youtube you guys can check it.
Also there are pics on internet where Ranveer, DP and her mother attended her best friend Srila Rao’s wedding in Sirilanka in 2016. Also pictures and videos of DP attending Ranveer’s friend Karan’s wedding to director Nitya Mehra in 2015 are also on internet.
Also the fact that they have non-bollywood friends it is difficult to believe blinds about them as I believe they both are very smart and know how to play the bollywood game well they are not going to air their dirty laundary to them.
I feel that their relationship is a genuine one. But you don’t know with these bollywood folks. They seem very compatible and balance out each other really well.
Especially the blinds of she being hung up on ranbir . That guy is such a loser for any woman to be hung up that too for this long . DP tamasha promotions got her really bad press and also I think all her RK blinds made rounds from then.
It seems they sent joint congratulations to Anushka after her wedding news broke . Another new pattern only ranveer ‘s spokesperson has denied last two rumors DP meeting his extended family and recent engagement rumors – somewhat like joint statement.
Forget engagement until they get married none of us can be too sure about anything.
Here is my take…no clue if true-false. They have been forever accused of fake PR relationship every time their movie release or even otherwise. But taking both parents on same vacation and giving super expensive gifts , why would Ranveer’s parents and Prakash Padukone even agree to be part of such cheap drama if its fake…unless they are not respectable people like they appear to be.
If RK -DP dont end up together they will become kind of a joke even if untrue it will legitimate the whole friends with benefits comments on them. Will Ranveer-Deepika subject their parents and even themselves to such mockery ?
The whole padmavati controversy was about SLB will try to exploit their personal relationship on screen. Some insisted that their break rumor for this reason in Nov. If they wanted to end a PR relation and they will have to sometime if its only PR…Padmavati release should be the right time. But they are doing the opposite. Lets see what happens.
Exactly I agree Kiran. My observation is same. Both parents come from dignified background, they won’t get involved if it’s pr stunt.
Also their parents are not from filmi backgrounds so I don’t think they will understand or even participate in such pr activities even for their children. This has been going on for almost 5 years I highly doubt their parents will put up with and participate in such a charade for so long, unlike filmi parents/families like Sri and Boney getting papped with Ishan and Jhanvi and Shahid and Mira hanging out with Ishan and Jhanvi.
Even when they are not promoting movies they are seen with each other and each others parents. Like the pics of RS attending DP’s father’s 50th birthday party in 2015 which are on the internet.
Recently RS was seen DP’s father’s sports centre opening and he himself posted a pic with DP’s father on insta story. They never post such pics on their insta before why start now for the sake of pr.
Also I’m from Maldives and I saw a tweet by an airport staff claiming that he/she saw them together with their parents but RS got mad when he/she tried to click a picture of them. (Don’t know how true this sighting is so don’t shoot the messenger).
I hope this is true…I like how these actresses are choosing to marry young and to men, within their generation. Ranveer seems supportive and more giving than say a guy like Ranbir

But seems like you’re confused as well. Hmm but you’re right, if they wanted world to know if it happened they would have announced with a pic. But with Padma hanging like a sword they won’t reveal it as well. So 50-50 chance.

I will be surprised if they actually get married! Deepika never seems as interested as Ranveer is and when Deepika was being targetted and harassed during the padmavati controversy, Ranveer was so quiet. Like what happened to self proclaimed ‘best boyfriend’?
I believe they were asked by SLB not to make public statements supporting each other in the movie or the interactions between their characters since it is a sore point for those Karni Sena fools. As a result, one cannot expect him to support her publicly. Knowing how irresponsible the media is, it would lead to articles like ‘Khilji speaks for his damsel, Padmavati’ and add more fuel to the fire.

I hope this is true, Ranveer is such a nice boy and I love Deepika and he seems to really make her happy. I dont want to believe it is a publicity stunt. I think they both worked hard on their upcoming movie which I believe will be a superhit blockbuster and now after that busy schedule they can finally breathe and really take their relationship seriously. I think this is a year we will be seeing lots of weddings. Sonam’s, RSDP’s, and hopefully even Sonakshi’s, and I am crossing my fingers that even Salman bhai will propose to Kat too :-p

Hah! Another farce for the sake of publicity. I remember having a bet with a friend who lives in the same building as Deepika (So she thought it was a legit thing) that their engagement is due right before the release of Bajirao. She lost the bet and i was so sure its just a publicity stunt. Usually around her birthday every year this rumour comes up. I am pretty certain they are not together since almost a year now, and all this is just SLB directed publicity.
Yeah, might as well kill time till Padmavat releases 😉

Hopefully… I ship them. But right now Padmavati is more important. I am not glad its releasing with Padman. I wish it had solo release on Dec 1. This will be the first time I am buying a ticket for Ranveer’s movie and will watch him on big screen for the first time.

looks like this post is from Aug 2017. they are forever breaking up or getting engaged. Padmavati’s fate could add to their fate of getting together….maybe-maybe not.
It’s media churning out pieces. In fact same news item is repeated almost every year and sometimes in months. Break up and make up. I’m not arguing they might not have had disagreements or fights but what media reports is crap. A clear observer can see this through.
