We found out something that we didn’t know today and decided to share it with you.
Ranbir Kapoor is a smart guy. Not book-smart, per se, but know what to say and what to do in a smart kind of way. He came in the industry all ready by being the nicest guy in Bollywood. That lasted for only a couple of years until he broke up with Deepika Padukone, and she let it all out on him. This topic is not about that, it’s about how we were surprised to find out that Ranbir Kapoor took the time to take care of his hair issues before he signed his first film.
This was revealed by a family friend of the Kapoors in Telegraph India that Ranbir actually had a lot more common with Salman Khan than just Katrina Kaif. Ranbir has always been an admirer of Salman even before Katrina came into the picture or in India. The other thing he also took from Salman was his hair doctor.

On the other hand, Ranbir has never really talked about sharing the same problem as Salman. But one often heard that Ranbir, too, had consulted the same wonder-doctor who gave Salman a headful of new hair and had got satisfactory results. This was before Sanjay Leela Bhansali turned him into a hero with Saawariya . So Ranbir entered the film industry confidently sporting his (newly sprouted) hair and nobody wised up to his problem. Therefore, Ranbir arriving with his hair in place was important for his stardom.
As it turned out, Ranbir’s hair was already thinning and to get ready to enter Bollywood, he consulted Salman’s hair doctor. We had to research a bit about this because as we remembered in ‘Sawaariya’ Ranbir had good hair. That’s how we remember it. As it turned out, that was all hair extensions. It is true, check out the pictures of Ranbir we found before he made his debut:
He very smartly combed it in such a way that doesn’t show that he doesn’t have much hair on his head. Ranbir saw Salman’s doctor and then, was all ready to make his debut.
As it is with hair thinning issues, you have to keep on getting the procedure to keep the hair in place. Ranbir did just that, and it’s also why he has had different hairstyles over the years. It’s also probably why he covers his hair when he’s not doing anything professionally.
The question is, how in the world did he start losing his hair at such a young age? When he made his debut, he came out and said that he has tried everything in life, including doing all types of drugs. Maybe that did something!
And yea some of you who said that Rs and Dp are smart outsiders is absolutely true. They both know the tricks to survive and they does it with a smile. They are not vile, but quite smart when dealing with inside community of bw.
Kjo is seriously the only person I hate really in bollywood. His bias makes me turn off to Alia too despite her talent. Yup 2014 kwk was about hailing Rk and Alia as the NEXT. I hate the open bias.
People like Kangana will fight from the fore, the likes ofof Vidya would do their job and focus on it alone and the likes ofof Dp Rs will sustain with their pleasing nature. It’s as simple as that. Each to his own. I won’t judge these people bz it’s really difficult for outsiders and if they want to resort to these tactics to survive, then so be it.
Of all the comments this one strikes to me as something close to truth. All these actors choose how to fight the game…after all its a cage fight on who will survive.
Everyone plays on their strengths …DP is not confrontational from what I gather so she may have leveraged her PR to do it. Anushka is a loud mouth and no where as big as PC, Kangana, DP withoust KJo gang and Virat she had no Box office openings at all.
we all know how Kangana fights her game. PC has equally overdrive PR post HW venture atleast. PC fights her battles the best i would say…she is smooth and she speaks well. She knows how to give back. DP’s major disadvantage is she is boring and inarticulate. Watch her interviews …she is very limited in expressing.
What is the end game ? Success ! No matter the amount of talent unless you churn out equal amount of success to the talent you possess …you are losing the game.
And regarding her acting, again it’s an individualistic opinion. Some might like or not like. But I don’t think she’s an average actor, at least in her films after Cocktail. In my eyes she’s one of the best we have, along with Vidya, Kangana, PC.
She is a superstar by all means today and I don’t think it’s fair to judge her contemporaries for not having a friendly relation with her. It’s always lonely at the top. I mean think from her shoes and theirs. Both are right.
It’s easy for Anushka and Kat to be friends bz they’re not threat to each other. If I value some ffriendships or let’s say cordiality between actresses, it’s Vidya – Kangana and PC – Dp. I mean its difficult when you both are equally talented and trying to win the same goals. Yet these four ladies have done it. Even cordiality is remarkable. Even actors won’t be able to do that honestly.
Wow the comments below are even more interesting than the blind. By the way Admin, you didn’t know this? I didn’t know it was a secret. Even if he didn’t do before Sawariya, you can see how his hair is now to realise the truth.
I aactually find it funny that even in a post about him, comment section doesn’t belong to him. By the way comments are interesting and I agree and disagree at points with most people.
Well Amanda, I thinI PC and Rs share an amazing friendship. There’s no cold vibes. Whenever she’s in Mumbai they party together and they genuinely praise each otherother at any given opportunity.
I don’t think there’s animosity between Dp and PC too. I mean yes I did feel so at a point and yes pr articles were flying at each other. But that’s part of their business. I don’t think PC or Dp whom I rate very highly as intelligent, strong independent women will let competition get to their skin. I must admit I felt the same too when the Hollywood bug started. But when they made appearances iton was fairly cordial for two actresses. I don’t think they were bffs before neither now. But cordial and friendly yes. Unlike the other actresses, I feel these two know where to draw the line between comepttion and cordiality.
And regarding the PR talk going on here, I’m no oneone to defend but I seriously feel attaching the pr blame only to one actress is unfair. I mean come on, I see all kinds of articles about all these actors and actresses you guys mentioned. None of them have a saint pr. Period.
Now tell me if even once the Pathetic Karan johar asked Ranbir about his hair transplant on KWK show??? and how brazenly he had asked Kangana about actresses who got their lips enhanced… this was when Kangana said that she got an allergy from eating lobsters that lead to swollen lips…..the only thing KJo knows is how to ki$$@$$….He will never ask Kareena about her cheekbones or about the rumor of her pregnancy during the school days… why not keep it a level playing field??
Agree bro. KJO is definitely not about fairness and reserves his meanest comments for those without strong filmy connections. Not to mention the other time when Alia bitchily commented on his show about Kangna’s airport appearances. It was great to see Kangna give it right back to him in spades, though.
It also reminds me of how KJo nastily told Sania Mirza in his show that he was waiting for her to become World no. 1 before inviting her on his show. It was unbelievably rude and bitchy, and she looked hurt!

Ranbir kapoor even had a nose job before saawarya released. He admitted it also saying it was more for health reasons as it now helped him to sleep better or something.. Since he admitted it himself and social media was not as active, it didn’t make it to breaking news.
Never knew RK had a nose job. It’s not only the actresses only having plastic surgery it seems. Wasn’t there a blind during Jagga Jasoos promos that RK told Kat that her latest plastic procedures are making her look bad and to get it fixed or something.
Can anyone (admin) dig up before and after pics of RK’s nose job. I’m quite intrigued now..haha
No, no…RK didn’t have a nose job. He has a pakoda nose that seems to grow bigger when he puts on weight and grows older. What he did was have a minor surgery to help with his breathing but even that was in 2014.
Quick question – why so much hate on RK (on every single post of his)? The only people I don’t see being bad-mouthed here at all is DP. Just for an example this was a really old blind and a lot of other actors have had hair / eyebrows/ tummy job done.
It seems odd, isn’t it? Users on this site and PV are pretty vitriolic towards most actresses, even more so than actors (barring RK and Salman). DP is an exception.
I feel its her PR and the fact that pretty faces are over-valued in Btown. Thanks to her PR, when was the last time we read a negative blind about DP? Not in ages. Currently DP works exclusively with the best directors and production houses all the time in the the industry in spite of her average acting skills and below average dialogue delivery. Is she delivering as many memorable performances? Not even the best performance among her contemporaries in any given year.
DP reminds me of Aishwarya’s career. Both pretty faces. A decade or so ago, ARB was the hottest actress in town, and every filmmaker wanted her for her supposedly “large audience appeal” and pretty face obviously, in spite of being a below average actress. Everybody drank that kool-aid for a while. Now that ARB’s career and PR has waned off, she gets trashed left, right and center, with the audience rejecting her as a weak actress.
In the present decade, DP is the kool-aid that everyone’s drinking. My 2 cents. And not a hater of any of these women.
I’m enjoying your comment. Many of us. The visitors of this site are disappointed in the shitVilla. PR actors supervise articles on the PV, even the blind are not published. About actresses there is a lot of crap. It is impossible to read all this dirt, there is no censorship. They also write a negative about Deep, write a lot, but not as much as about Priyanka Kangana or Sonam (I think so: if you hate an actress, why are you so actively reading every article about her and writing dirt? It’s like an obsession already
@Rashmi: May be PV approves more comments by paid trolls. That’s also a part of PR strategy – running a negative campaign against other actresses/actors. Spice PR was accused of doing that on DP’s behalf in one of Masand’s blinds.
@b52bomber,Deepu’s PR is one of the shittiest because they keep throwing shade on other actresses and propagate hate.. I like DP as an actress and like her looks too… I find her way more bearable than Ash and she can deliver dialogues much better than Ash…But she should tame her PR a bit so that she doesn’t end up making many enemies in btown………

I remember till a few years back there were multiple blinds about DP – her substance abuse acts, dancing on the table top naked act, sitting on the lap of SRK acts but over the last 1 year, especially since Bhansali took her under his wings, her branding is forcedly positive. I agree her dialogue delivery is below average. I wish PC or Kareena would get strong roles – they are much better actresses.

I like DP and a fan but I agree with you that she has really agressive pr. I mean look at the number of back to back articles released by her pr today on pv and other sites. They are all so random and mundane. Nick Jonas commenting on her insta pic. He even comment and like PC’s pics but her pr never make articles on it. I like pr articles about actors work but not these mundane stuff.
People here will know I like both RSDP but I hate that we are getting articles about them/ their relationship almost every single day since January this year. If they want to announce their relationship/ marriage/ engagement just announce it instead of daily articles hinting at it or some other stuff about them as a couple. If these rumours are true most likely both their prs or one of their pr is leaking it. If not true, then its media created.
@b52bomber I agree with the Aishwarya assessment but in Deepika’s case.I strongly disagree..IMO the girls got talent and screen presence to boot,It’s a plus that she’s pretty too.In this day and age looks can take you only so far..you need some sort of connect and talent to survive,unless you have a sugar daddy/Godfather or stong family name backing you!Personally I thought Piku,Cocktail, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani ,Finding Fanny,Ram Leela and now Padmavat are well acted films.Heck I thought she was funny in Chennai express too!Your entitled to your opinion so whatever..Also PV posts shit about everyone,whose not KJO or directly part of that clan,trust me happens to the best of them INCLUDING deepika!

Btown favors looks disproportionately (not just ARB or DP) for pulling in male audience – case in point – Katrina’s decade long career in the Hindi film industry without learning Hindi.
I personally feel Btown has room for all these actress. But kool-aid that DP’s PR sells explains how she is over-rated like ARB was at her time.

@PRvilla: My original comment about DP and her PR was in response to the OP (GeekyGal) who did point out “The only people I don’t see being bad-mouthed here at all is DP.” Not all actors and actresses have equally active PRs or have the same PR strategy. DP’s PR has been the subject of blinds and industry folks have openly stated how “over-enthusiastic” her PR is. If you look around this comment section, several posters disagree with you on this topic.
As for my opinion on KJo camp+nepo kids, you can see my response to Deepak’s/your comment below. However, if I write about DP, not necessarily I should have to write about the entire industry. Eg. every time I talk about Israel (Palestine), I don’t have to talk about evil cousin Palestine (Israel). We can disagree but that’s alright, Right? 🙂

RK is well known for whoring around and many people here dislike it… Also he has troubled relationship with media and does not warm up to fans…. Fans feel distanced…. His movie choices are not good and he is terrible at relationships… Moreover the leakage of all his flings by his close aides makes him look cheap… He is definitely a good actor but he needs to connect to his fans and needs to improve his personal life.. Then may be he will be liked more….. Cosmetic procedures are nothing new to actors.. The hate of fans is not due to this procedure, it’s more to do with his conduct and ignorance….
Dp has well oiled pr and usually conducts herself way better and presently giving hit movies with nice performances… She is very diplomatic and guarded during media interactions but does engage media effectively for her benefit.. That makes her likeable…. And again this has nothing to do with her cosmetic enhancements.. BTW, dp’s enhancements don’t look odd on her and she appears to look natural not like Sridevi or anushka…

@Rad,DP has done eyebrow lift,face lift and a tweaked her nose a bit .. Jawline seems a bit sharper.. But,none of the changes are extreme and in fact the changes have made her look better……… I think every actor undergoes some kind of enhancements or routine procedures to improve their looks……. That is fine as long as they suit their faces and makes them look good…… Extreme changes are noticeable and can take away the original charm………..

@geekygal RK’s major downfall is he is hated by 3 major/ huge fandoms. Salman fandom, Kat fandom and DP fandom. I don’t think most of the people commenting on this site are even fans of Salman and Kat (going by the negative and not so favourable comments on their posts) so the hate he get on this site are not due to this site being full of Kat and Salman fans. Regarding DP fans, there are some DP fans who are RKDP shippers still (don’t know why, most probably teens), most fans are indifferent and compared to Kat- Salman fandoms less DP fans are RK haters.
Regarding the hate he get on this site I think most people commenting on this site are not fan of the way he is with women/ relationships/his exes/ his gossip mongering ways/ leaking info about his personal life…the way his family treat/ talk about women etc.. Certainly on this site it is not actors/actress’s fandoms or pr that is talking negatively about him.
If it is only negative pr spread by other actors his movies will do good business regardless of it. But his movies has not done well since 2014 so it shows he lost audience connection as well. Also the above 3 fandoms I mentioned will never watch his movies so again less people watching his movies. Basically he is not very much liked person/actor by the audience it is proven.
Other actors like Akshay, Slaman are bashed on this site and other gossip sites yet their movies do well unlike RK’s movies so it further proves my point regarding him being hated by the general public.
Still remember a short snipette in Filmfare magazine (late 90s) stating how Neetu and her daughter were huge admirers of Salman. While meeting up at a family gathering, Neetu asked Salman if Rishi told her about the massive crush of the ladies in his family while they were working together for YEH HAI JALWA.
Salman even attended RK’s sister’s sangeet ceremony on special invitation of the Kapoors.
Still remember RK saying in an interview during Saawariyan release, how he hung around many a times at Salman’s homes and partied with him at Sanju’s place.
Deepika and him even attended Arpita ‘s birthday party at a Bandra hotel where SURPRISE SURPRISE Salman came in with Kat.
Their destinies are strangely intertwined and I would love to hear a completely drunk Salman give his honest opinion on RK.
Ironically Deepika was the one,supposedly who introduced katrina to Ranbir..Cheating oppurtunists I swear!Glad that Karma caught up to them!

Not a fan or a hater of Ranbir as an actor. In a world full of actors like Varun, Tiger, Arjun, Sid it is good to see an actor who can act. If only he will focus more on his acting instead of being in the news for his relationships or trying to prove he is the most desireable/ stud of bollywood and every actress (especially his exes are) still throwing themselves at him he can still make it.

I want PC and RS to be paired in an intense love story with contemporary setting and which has happy ending…I think someone should think of casting these two… I liked their pairing in Bajirao Mastani… Gunday and Dil dhadak ne do didn’t have much intense scenes between them……..

Rs was misbehaved with PC on set he was hyper n too touchy with PC.PC didn’t like it she many time taunts rs for his this kind of behavior he did same with bebo.
The last time PC was in India she did share a pic of them together on instagram while rehersing for an award show. Rs did the same on nstagram story. Also whenever she is town they do meet up at parties and both Ranveer and PC do share pics of them with each other on instagram whenever they meet.They are still friends. They comment on each others instagram posts as well. I do like Pc and Ranveer pair too.
Ranveer does get along with actresses DP is not on good terms like Kat, Kangana.
@pooja PC said he held her hand a bit too tightly in one scene and she got angry. After that he apologized and it was sorted out. RS and Pc did 2 back to back movies after Gunday.

I don’t think they are just being cordial. I get the vibe that they are still friends. I did watch the behind the scene video of the rehersal of the award show (zee cine awards) I’m talking about and they both were chatting away and RS came on pc’s rehersals and tried to do her dance steps along with her and they were both laughing. They looked like they were having a blast.
It was the 2016 iifa PC and DP avoided each other. Last year neither of them attended.
I like PC-RS pair more than Anu-RS pair.
Rs is a smart dude, what ever he might feel about the other person – he’ll never express it, he’ll always be cordial and be friendly,atleast on the outside. Remember amitabh harassed Dp on the sets of piku – Rs was there for Dp but in public he acted as if he loves, admires amitabh- which i don’t think so he does. Same goes with other people – he dosent like srk or ranbir or kjo etc , but he’ll always be friendly.
Rs is a flirt , he a bit touchy and a bit casinova type. Bebo and Pc did’nt like his enthusiasm ,flirty and touchy behaviour because he was a not a superstar or was popular enough back then , when he was a no one . But now i’m pretty sure they’ll be happily smiling if he behaves like that now . Rs is very intutive and intelligent enough to understand how people work. Rs might be cordial and friendly with every one but he knows people are good to him now because he’s successful.

@pooja The only act shown by DP that she was miffed by Amitabh was not inviting him to the piku success bash. If you see her in award shows and other social dos where they meet they are both very cordial and she even still call him baba as she posted the pic of his letter on instagram with the caption thank you baba. Even I always say DP and RS are the smartest actors in bollywood right now. They both being outsiders achieving so much they have to play the bollywood game and butter up bollywood bigwigs.
Even DP is very touchy feely with co-stars. Look at the way she act with RK, SRK, Arjun Kapoor, Homi, Imtiaz during promo events. Even with Fawad and Sid when she meets them. I think RS and DP act that way with co-stars because they wanted to show people the chemistry.
DP and RS both have cheating rumours/blinds about them so maybe they are in an open relationship. But I’m still more inclined to believe they are just rumours and they are both faithful because I never believe blinds about their relationship as they both have friends outside of bollywood and non-filmi families they are not gonna tell and RSDP will never air their dirty laundry with bollywood people as they are both smart. Also most blinds about their cheating ways are way too elobarate/ ott to be believed. Rs always get linked with non-filmi girls and they are so ott more like film script.. DP with people like Fawad, Homi and Vin with whom she is seen acting touchy feely with. Or maybe Thats the old school romantic in me speaking. Hehe
Maybe you might be right on that account- they might do that to increase curiosity and show the chemistry to people. Never said Dp was perfect – Dp does flirt or get touchy – but she dosen’t hide it either and same goes for ranveer.
I personally believe being best buddies ( with commitment , trust, honesty, being each others support system and maybe love) and in a open relationship even after they get married is better than being in a monogamous relationship where they eventually end up cheating – cause let’s be practical , they are in showbiz where there’s always temptation- men will always be eager to be around Dp and woman who will throw themselves at ranveer cause he’s successful and rich.
But if all those blinds weren’t true then , their story is way too romantic than i ever imagined,always thought their story was very practical and adorable one : )
@Amanda IMO it’s quite the opposite..all these ladies (barring priyanka) ganged up on her including anushka,katrina and KJO aunty/ranbir kapoor were probably the orchestrators cuz she was professionally on a roll at the time and was delivering hits after hits plus the RS surpassing RK factor came into play aswell,didn’t help considering he’s her beau..another reason I’m inclined to think this way was because she publicly dissed ranbir after their breakup and that factor didn’t exactly go down well with KJO mafia kapoor company!Regarding her and PC yeah things probably went sour between them due to the hollywood bug and them being constantly pitted against one another,naturally things would become awkward..regarding RS he seems pretty cool and chilled out and doesn’t exactly strike me as easily ‘controllable’,basically he does what he wants and that too on an impulse.
@prvilla,I disagree with some portions of what you said… DP’s pr keeps throwing shade at all her contemporaries and then these girls find KWK a better platform to react or a better word “complain”….. Regarding other actresses ganging up on dp because of Ranbir,i dont think its true… In fact Katrina,Sonam,Kareena,DP and many others have always poked fun of Ranbir on many platforms … If they support Ranbir,then why insult him? Kareena very openly said “Neetu and Rishi should stop putting matrimony ads for Ranbir”… Sonam said she would advise Ranbir to finally settle down…These statements all hint at his non-committal nature and his sleeping around habit,..
DP’s pr also tried to do similar thing to PC when deepika started shooting for XXX.. There was article saying DP’s role is much bigger than PC’s role in baywatch…Also Ruby Rose of XXX took a dig at PC regarding the sunsilk ad,PC gave back to Ruby on twitter… Now that both the movies have flopped at BO ,the pr games between both the ladies has subsided. at least for now…… PC is not having any BO projects at hand and DP is busy with many projects here… Both these ladies have strong PR teams,but the pr approaches are pretty different… I like both the actresses and i was rooting for both the hollywood films, but the articles that were coming from the both the camps were disappointing….

As much as we like our actors,I don’t want to feel that i got used by them with their false,overzealous pr ……… I am fine with these stars as long as they give me good movies and good performances to watch…………….
@Amanda You obviously dislike Deepika so that’s your prerogative but honestly using the ‘PR’ excuse is a little hmmm..Please name one actress or actor(even telly one’s)who’s PR is not overzealous?The entire industry is guilty of this!Also the bit about her PR throwing shade or being obnoxious to others(particularly other actresses)-that’Strictly KJO gang,I think you have it wrong sis,NO outsider can afford to do that in Btown as every word that comes out of their mouth can be easily misconstrued by industry folks and can hurt their career,even if they happen to be at the top of the crop!lastly,ever heard the term “An enemy of my enemy is my friend’,that’s basically what happened in these ladies case,the resentment was already there but it was further propagated by KJO mafia/ranbir kapoor camp,he literally made these women throw shade at RS/Deepika via his show,PR or various social media tactics!Also all these ladies you mentioned..Kareena is basically the female incarnate of kjo himself and has no mind of her own,Anushka is extremely insecure as a person and had a bone to pick with deepika anyways,plus the RS connection!Sonam is another entitled bimbo who clearly had a rather very unhealthy negative obsession with her,i mean they were both launched at the same time plus both dated Rk,sonam(in her head) was supposed to be the industry’s sweetheart by default but instead deepika made her way to the top and slowly but surely earned her place and miss sonam was unfortunately left behind.Till this day Sonam is bitter as she leaves no stone unturned to take jabs at deepika,same is the case with Anushka,I mean we all know how anu reacted when she was asked about Padmavat trailer and in Sonams case she felt so threatened that she decided to pull a trick with her best friend Swara satan soo bhaskar(we all know that dumb fiasco..so transparent)!Katrina tou lets not even go there,she’s tou shameless for hating on the poor girl when she was one half of the ‘cheating trio’!Anyhow to sum this up I’m pretty much sticking to my opinion,if you have another inclination and disagree then please stick to it np!Honestly if you disagree so strongly then thumps down my comment in the future it’s perfectly fine,so that we don’t end up going back and forth for such petty things!Good day
I dont dislike deepika .. you can read my comments about her,I have always said positive things about her… Appreciating good things and criticizing a few bad things about someone doesnt make me a hater of that person….There are two sides or even more sides to every story and i was trying to decipher on my own and trying to understand the things………

@Amanda Yaar I never said you were a hater I just assumed you were not very fond of her or atleast that’s how it was coming off to me..Believe me my vocabulary is not that limited that I have to resort to such silly words like ‘Troll or Hater’ to express myself or the lack (thereof).Also nothing wrong with disliking something which you don’t necessarily agree with,I’m guilty of doing it from time to time!That’s what the button/option is there for..Anyhow I guess we all have our way of looking at things!It’s cool.
I agree with Amanda about the stars PR. Out of the current lot I like Kangana and Deepika ( Kangana is much more versatile and talented than DP) but even both these ladies have PR and deepika’s is as aggressive as the other actresses. ATM pinkvilla has a number of overly flattering stories about Deepika. Just because we like certain stars does not mean they are innocent lambs who have no idea about how to generate publicity or take down rivals, it is a competitive place and all these stars would not be where there are without their PR teams.

@Hmmm Agreed!Someone has to hype them up(especially outsiders),otherwise they’d be long forgotten..it’s a survival tactic!
In at time of promotion PC make fun of rs n passing same unpleasant remark go watch it.
