Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have finally tied the knot in two separate ceremonies. These pictures were shared from each ceremony by both Deepika and Ranveer. All the 40+ guests were not allowed to take pictures at the ceremonies, but somehow a grainy picture of Ranveer getting ready for his big day found its way to the internet.
The two ceremonies were a Konkani style wedding from Deepika’s side and a Sindhi Anand Karaj wedding from Ranveer’s side. Things were really kept in secrecy about the wedding and according to SKJ, some details you heard are wrong. Deepika asked Ranveer to control himself and not go too crazy like he does at other people’s wedding so unfortunately he did not play the dhol, as reported by the media. If he did, they would have saved money.
Congratulations to Deepika and Ranveer. Here’s wishing them a lifetime of happiness together and many more successes to come.

Congrats DP and RS! Their happiness and love radiated from the pics. I think they were going for the traditional vintage look and they nailed it. Her Anand Karj look was so unlike DP who prefers less/ understated jewellery and pastel/light colors but someone assured me (don’t if she was right) that her look was very typical Sindhi bridal look with the bright red and tons of jewellery. Wish they would release more pics from the other ceremonies as well.
Kat wrote congrats messages on both DP and RS’s insta congratulating so that unlike the last time when she liked Farah’s selfie with them people would not assume she liked the pic because of RS and Farah only. Some eyewitness (more likely Kjo) did report that they at SRK’s b’day bash last year they did greet each other cordially. I feel at this point when they meet they are cordial and they never claimed to be friends so that is enough…After RSDP’s personal wish and flowers to Virushka on their wedding even they seemed to have turned a new leaf. Anu randomly commenting and praising DP’s cannes look and DP liking some of her posts on insta and now Anu wishing her both RSDP for the marriage. I feel Virushka might be invited to the reception…Sonam and Anand wishing and attending the reception is given but sweet of her to wish them twice on RS’s post on insta and DP’s post on twitter so that people would not assume that she wished RS only or because of him. PC’s comments were adorable too. She is in Delhi so even if invited would not attend… Kjo and blind item writers must be shooketh that all bw catfights seemed to have come to an end with everyone playing nice. Haha.. Their Mumbai reception is going to be so much fun. And by the number of people wishing them on SM, feels like a lot of celebs would attend if they are in town. We might get another fun BW party just like Sonam’s reception. Yay! Kjo, Aloo and RK would is my only grouse. Hope RK skip it like he did with SRK’s diwali bash.
Kjo will concentrate with the new girl brigade,the men are settled as well.only the old horse ranbir is left.let the priyanka wedding be over,from new year it will be Sara,jhanvi,Tara,alia,manushi,kriti,all fighting for ranbir.maybe he will thrown in tiger and disha.

its a very common phrase.I personally think it was sweet of her to do so, instead of not wishing and then someone might write the “the real reason anushka didn’t wish deepika” article,followed bt the article which says how she likes to add her personal touch,and then another article as to how she sent flowers to the watchman.

@nefarious “welcome to the club” is a pretty generic thing to say & definitely not something I’d consider attention seeking. I remember a lot of cricketers tweeting to her after marriage saying ‘welcome to the club’ (Rohit Sharma I definitely remember) so maybe she’s also made it like a template to wish everyone like tha thereby keeping it simple. Not everybody can tweet like KJo using fancy adjectives all the time. 🙂

Well I’ll be ripped apart but I felt a little let down.i was hoping to see ranveer change his hairstyle and stubble like the way he had it in that befikre song.khulke dhulke or something,he looked his hottest.and deepika has a tiny face and she looks best with very less makeup and less jewellery.she went the padmavat way,I was hoping she will wear less heavy but gorgeous jewellery like mastani.the kind she was wearing in that ramp walk of anju modi. Even in that white Sabya Saree and a simple necklace she looked breathtakingly beautiful.but they do look royal,I think they personally wanted to look like king and queen.dont know how Konkani brides dress,I can’t make out what she is wearing for that Konkani wedding,is it a lehenga or saree with a high neck blouse!?
Will have to wait for reception pictures,hope she wears less jewellery.more than these two I am very very disappointed in sabyasachi.he had a year to make her dress,but the jewellery and the dress are very similar to what his models have already worn.and I pray that she doesn’t do the chipku hair in her reception.
@Lucy, yeah, even i was hoping for something better than the red she donned. I was hoping shed go for some really magnificant color. Possibly in some ritual red is mandatory. yeah, she really did look like padmavati 😀
altho ranveer did a swell job carrying off a red sherwani. he was more experimental and it turned out well. i was happy at least he made his attire memorable

Love the traditional touches the Kaleera, Mundavli, the shloka emroidered into her dupatta. Ranveer really brought his style game that deep red is an unusual colour for a groom but man did he pull it off..i’m dying for the full-length pics the twitter memes are hilarious it was like the whole country was waiting for a baby to be born :))
and that euphoric grin on ranveer’s face as he’s holding up the mangalsutra(?)..as a sindhi aunty told me today bada chupa rustom nikla – came out of nowhere, stormed into Bollywood and took home the most beautiful bride in the country 😀

Never said that he is a paid journalist. We sort of got this news as was writing the post and he had details no other sites had hence it was perfect to be added. Since he is kind of close to some stars, he has many inside deets. Mr. Khalid as well.
