Aamir Khan does not like to tell people how much money he makes

We had no idea about this, but now that he has mentioned it, we did a little search and it turns out that Aamir Khan is telling the truth. Apparently, Forbes Magazine has been nagging him since they launched in India to disclose his earnings so that they can feature him in their top richest stars or similar issues.

Now that this is out in the open, it means that the list of Forbes richest people might just be bogus because if they are asking them how much they are earning, who knows that they might fake it to show they are still powerful? This is also strange because Shah Rukh Khan once said that the day Forbes Magazine claimed that he was the richest actor in India, his movie production company called him to let him know that they don’t have enough money to build a set for the movie that they were filming. It was probably for ‘Happy New Year’ and his response was to call his secretary and find out where he can go perform to earn the money to pay for the set.

Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar are in the top 10 of the Forbes list of highest-paid actors in the world, which was revealed late Tuesday. But Aamir Khan didn’t make it, despite his last release, Dangal, managing to break the Rs 2,000-crore barrier at the box office.

A Forbes report says Aamir earned Rs 175 crore from Dangal alone, arguably the highest fee for any actor in the world. But still he missed the coveted list.

“Mr Khan doesn’t ever get featured in the Forbes list as he doesn’t share, not even (his) rough earnings (sic),” his team said on being contacted.

Here’s Aamir Khan in his own words explaining why he doesn’t feel the need to share his earnings

    1. Haha unrelated funny story….when I was interviewing for my 1st jobs with a bank, one of the qs was ‘tell us how would you make a pitch to aamir Khan so that he picks you as his wealth manager’. I gave some lame answer but now I wish that I could go back and quote this article and say ‘aamir is very private and it’s very likely that unless I was in his inner circle I have no chance at being his wealth manager’. I flunked the interview and have never forgotten this question.
