PART THREE

These TV shows are not necessary boring, per say. For my taste I guess, it does get a little boring from episode to episode. Take ‘How I Met your Mother’, this show started big and as years went by, especially in the latest season, if you watch the show you will see as if the cast is tired. It could be the storyline or something else, but to me it seems that the actors are just tired of playing the same role. I don’t think I got a similar feeling when ‘FRIENDS’ was on, as ‘HIMYM’, and ‘Friends’ have the same background. I get the same feeling from the cast of ‘Gossip Girl’, and ‘Desperate Housewives’. ‘Desperate Housewives’ is a disappointment this last season. It’s like they know the show is over so no need for that extra effort.

As for ‘The Lying Game’, and ‘Pretty Little Liars’, the storyline is a bit slow there. People on these shows get scared for no reason! They have like a dragging storyline, which is annoying. But then again these shows are meant for teenagers, so maybe I’m a bit too old for all this. Seriously!

SMASH

I had zero expectations before watching ‘Smash’, but as soon as I was watching the first episode and Katherine McPhee started singing “Beautiful”; I was in. Since then, I followed each and every episode of the show. The show has a great cast, but unfortunately there are a few characters that are a bit annoying; that creepy assistant guy, Kate’s boyfriend and that singing guy, who’s chasing Debra Messing. The main leads have done a great job so far, Katherine is such a good singer and dancer. That blonde girl is amazing too; I wanted her to be Marilyn not Katherine. Well, there’s still more to come from this show; let’s wait and watch!

The River

‘The River’ was a very interesting show; it had mystery, suspense and a little bit of scary humor. It’s the story of the wife and son of a famous missing TV reality star, who take a trip to the Amazon accompanied by a TV crew just to go and find the missing Emmet Cole. They have a ship and set sail for the Boiuna, which is a place in the Amazon; a secret place it seems. The search for Emmet is not easy as the cast had to go through so much, from zombies to dead-to-secretly-alive hanging man. It’s a very interesting show with the right elements of suspense and mystery, but that doesn’t mean that it is perfect. ‘The River’ has its flaws, but all was forgotten when they managed to get what they were looking for. The ending episode was a bit of a mystery though, but for now the Boiuna is closed!
